WPD officer injured in clash with mental patient

Willits Police Officer Scott Warnock received minor injuries Friday during the capture of a mental patient who escaped from a Mendocino County car while parked in Willits.

Do any of you know if this person was a danger to anyone other than himself? I don't live in town, but I care for the safety of others in town.

"doors do not open from inside"

If there had been a fire or accident resulting in injury or death, there would have been a lawsuit because the patient COULDN'T get out! You can't win!

More supervision might have prevented this, but with the economy on the rocks we're more likely to see a reduction in personnel.
