Watermen's celebration at Yorktown Sunday

Appropriate to be at a MUSEUM, i.e. the past. The Bay is dead. Thanks for destroying my creation.

It's 10:54 pm on Monday 7/14 and we still have an on-line story PRECEDING the watermens' festival yesterday. The other stories under "Local" are even older - up to 10 days!! The on-line edition of the Daily Press is woefully inadequate.

Sounds Good, but the watermen of the Chesepeake Bay have been in trouble for years. It's sad and the water quality of the Bay is getting worse.

Did anyone notice if Joe Frank attended?

I've never seen him at any of the workboat races, parades or anything I've attended concerning the watermen being praised. Norfolk, Poquoson or Yorktown.

Poquoson has their Seafood Festival in October , maybe someone should invite him.

The "watermans' Museum" in Yorktown is a joke run by mercenaries. The dollar is all they are about. Take a look what they do when Yorktown or some Honorable Group puts on a FREE event - the "watermans' Museum" either chains their parking lot or charges to park. That's just crappy. They seem to believe the York River belongs to the "Museum" as it passes by and they fenced it off to the 'public'(who they seem to put themselves above), so don't walk on 'their' beach.(Thing is, the sand on 'their beach' was put there with tax payer money by York County - does that stink?)

They are a cheap, chiseling group of snot nosed jack asses.....Does anyone want to know how I really feel about the "Watermans' Museum"? It's a waste of time!

Don't be ugly, it is a nice museum and My grandaddy's picture is hanging in that museum.
WE have nice events there and class reunions
and York High Jubiblee Reunions there. It is a nice place, I am getting ready to join the volunteers very soon to help tell people what
a wonderful place York County is and HOW PROUD I AM OF YORK COUNTY AND ALL WATERMEN.My grandfather
owned one of the OLDEST business in YORK COUNTY>
and the museum is very nice.

waterman wife... i miss the thread. what happened to it. Please don't give up your fight. We need to rebuild the Deep Creek Pier. Start a new thread and keep trying to gain support. When and where will the new petition be?
