To my union coworkers: Thank you. I'm sure you had to make concessions but we all do. At least we have a job to return to on Monday.

I don't know the reason you are not a union employee but I would encourage you to join if your not. Being a member has many advantages. Glad they were able to ratify!!

I am not because I don't work in the shop. I was in a union years ago (small local one) and I will never do it again. They did literally nothing for me except accept my dues.

Name ONE (1) advantage, other than paying union dues!
Did the NON-UNION workers get the same deal? Will be waiting to see if ALL took a wage FREEZE or had their hourly rate reduced, like you wish for public servants, you know, like THOSE lazy, overpaid, greedy individuals! Oh, this is different, correct?
not sure

Well it finally passed..I am still wondering why all of a sudden we had to take a secret ballot when we didn't all the other times...If I remember correctly the committee even told us that if the company locked us out we would still be elegible for unemployment but today we wouldn't be..hmmmm.. Now everyone still there will get the 900.00 sign on pay..Well, i'm happy for you..I do think its b/s that it wasn't "even on the radar" for those who got the psp but aren't entitled to not even a penny of this..Whatever!!It sure lets me know where I stand..It is true..Once your laid off the company and the union forget you even were employed there.God Bless

They would only get the bonus if the contract was ratified.

This entire thing is B/S - you're PSP was crappy because the union workers do crappy work when they do work. The sooner BAE gets rid of all unions in their organization the better off they'll be!

I didn't say I agreed with that idea. I'm just glad that it's a done deal and *maybe* we can get on with business.

I guarantee that many of us union workers, not all, would work a circle around your sitting in your office lazy ass! Not all union workers are lazy...some yes, I agree, but not all. This is the first union company I have ever worked for...I have had to work my ass off at every job I ever had including my job here at BAE, union or not I work my ass off. I had to work to keep my jobs with no union to ever back me up.

I voted yes each time...the sign on bonus didn't matter, that was just an extra perk.

I voted yes and I'm proud of it. Where else can my lazy ass get paid $23 hour to eat cereal, take naps and talk to my bff's dean and don all day.
