If this happened on Bush's watch they'd be locked up on terrorism charges and the hicks on this forum would have agreed.

The American Hazel NUTZ have finally fallen from the tree.......... If being crazy is a health care pre-existing condition then 65% of America will not need health care reform, they are already rejected from the system?

How do you know it didn't happen on Bush's watch? We know that there were protesters and radicals screaming an yelling at every forum Bush attended because the networks told us it was a reasonable exercise of free speech.
Yet, these same outlets ignored the town halls until it became too much to hide and then they started attacking the participants (much as you like calling people 'hicks', you liberal **** b@sterd).
Point is that the media picks and chooses what to cover and if it is an event that would damage their liberal agenda, they will conveniently forget.
NBC is so slanted that they sell pro-Obama hats and t-shirts on their web site and New York gift shop.

But actually, the lib media shot themselves in the foot when they called Town Hall attendees "racists" and "mobsters"... don't they know that there were a lot of Independents and conservative Democrats in that crowd?

It's no wonder that Sarah Palin has more influence on this healthcare bill just from her Facebook blog than Nancy Pelosi has by issuing hateful statements to the big 3 networks. People are learning.

Palin's a poor example, "Curious"...as she both lived and died by the media.

Let's reel it back in to the topic of this thread.

Do you consider bringing loaded assault weapons to political rallies covered under the Bill of Rights?

No. I think anyone who brings any kind of weapon to a political rally is not covered under the Bill of Rights, and should be arrested on sight.

Curious point. From the sounds of this debate, especially with the talks of them dropping the public option, it appears Bush is still the one that is in power. Seriously. All the pomp and circumstance might just be theater designed to prop up a facade of democracy.

State law allows the carry of these firearms outside of the venue where the president is speaking. No laws are being broken so these individuals are well within the law.
"In both cases, the subject was not entering our site or otherwise attempting to," Donovan said. "They were in a designated public viewing area. The main thing to know is that they would not have been allowed inside with a weapon." No need to consult the Bill of Rights.

You're half right. Palin has more influence now than she did six months ago. Being trashed by the media has become a rite of passage for all conservatives... far from "dying" as a result, she's been validated by it.

Palin was demonized by the usual suspects for bringing up the "death panel" statement, so she deserves all the credit for having had it taken out of the bill.

Now that the blue dogs and the Independents have been stirred up by hateful statements against them from our Congress, she's in the right place to comment on the next issue, which will be federal gay marriage... and she's using new media to do it.

It was a peaceful display of 2nd amendment rights. The secret service knew all about it, they had the local cops eyeballing these guys like they had the plague. It is absolutely within the Bill of Rights to legally carry a weapon anywhere the law allows. They were not there to hurt anyone. By the way I noticed the usual "jump on any chance we can to suck up to the black race media" didn't mention the guy with the weapon was a black dude. Anywhere the president appears is considered a federal site, weapons are not legal on federal property unless you are a federal, state or local lawman/woman. You can't cherry pick the Bill of Rights to suit your agenda. That's the way it is like it or not.

Guns and weapons in general, have a way of doing that. If I were your neighbor and I chose to put a turret on my house you would probably get a little bothered. If not you are the rare kind of individual that fancies living in a anarchistic vigilante state.

Well, it's a new playing field for everyone. New rules to learn, even for socialist thugs. You know it's messed up when Cindy Sheehan is preparing to picket President Obama on Martha's Vineyard... but will the TV cover it the way they did with Bush?
