I remember seeing this place when driving by and did not know that it is owned by this former NFL player. I should probably stop by and say hello to him and have Diet Coke there (I don't drink). I don't believe her allegations are true. This woman just wants his money. I have heard many similiar allegations against famous players.

I been there for the night club and the lunch special there several times and I think it a great place to party and have fun. But I do know lots of people that have more than a few drinks and go to the motel down the street for a night cap. I hope this girl isn’t taking for a ride!

This incident happened in January? And it was reported the same day? Why is he being arrested now?
If he's guilty, then tag and bag him. However, at first thought, something is really fishy, no pun intended.
He should be held at least partially guilty for taking a girl to the Red Roof Inn. I worked there for a week in the 90s. One of the nastiest hotels I have ever seen.

I say flush out the truth. Subpoena records from the cheap motel and inquire about any possible camera film; interrogate police and people that the victim purported talked to on the day of the incident (when she regained conscience and possibly the following day).

An affair, a rape, or being at a motel with a young female with date rape drug in her system while being a married man. All very bad. All very hard to explain away. There is a protocal you must follow to have some action outside of your marriage. All very easy to avoid if you dont want it.
