There is no reason for gay marriage other than to gain by means of insurance, support or government aide. Marriage between consenting adults "NOT of the same FAMILY" was for a reason....Childbearing. Gays can not make babies. So therefore the need for the marriage is null aside from financial gain.
What will be next? the persuit of happiness? We the people will have to pay for the gay married folks to have their own biological children by means of insemination because it is their right? Add that one to the insurance problem we already face! lol
Add the fact that right now we can not marry of the "same family" What is next? There is no reason for that other than to pro-create. The reasoning being that children were born with defects.
IF SAME sex are given what they call "their right" to marry.....there would be no call for the rule of NOT of the Same FAMILY (bearing in mind that two same sex people can not have biological children)...thus opening a huge door for folks to simply marry their father or mother or cousin or sibling for financial gain i.e Insurance-Government funding.
It is a huge can worms that would be opened and it's not just as SIMPLE as the gay community thinks. There are way to many variables involved and it's not a decision that any of us Gays included should take lightly.
I also think that if this door is opened....that polygamists should have the same RIGHT to marry multiple times. WHAT is the DIFFERENCE? Happiness is what you all want? The RIGHT to marry? Then that should stand for EVERYONE, even those who want to marry more than one person.
Don't see with the platform that the gay person stands on that they should be against that? IF SO WHY?? it's not about what has worked for centuries...it's about what MAKES US HAPPY. That's a crock of crud. Laws are and made and votes are asked for. There are many reasons why this would NOT work in our society.
If you don't believe in God...and you don't give the power to the Government...then WHY do you need their PAPER saying marriage on it other than financial gain?? Is this really all about LOVE or is it really about MONEY?

I've stated that I've read the bible, I didn't say that I buy into the bible......but feel free to believe as you need to......one of the Greatest things about being an American Citizen is the right to believe as you see fit......and though I am a spiritual person......it doesn't require that I believe in a book written by man to control the masses!!!
