Hmm Imagine that,Bodenhafer's buddies on the plan comission approved the deal. Seriously did anyone really doubt this would pass. So let me get this straight, these guys want to build luxury houses in one of the worst housing markets that most of us can remember, and Wall Street being bailed out left and right by the government. Can you say another half empty subdivision in Allen County to go along with all the half empty shopping strip malls. To go along with the half empty Harrison Square Condos. Only in Fort Wayne!!!!!

Once again, greed, arrogance and selfishness wins over another spineless government board. Why not conduct public voting for decisions as costly as this one? There are far too many homes in this area to begin with--a huge number of which are vacant--and adding more properties only drives down the value of homes (simple supply and demand). This project will cause irreparable harm to an already highly polluted, largely destroyed Allen County ecosystem. Mike Thomas should be ashamed of himself.

This is truly unfortunate for Allen County, truly unfortunate and truly typical. It's unfortunate because it's another spot of pristine land that somebody is gobbling up to put up more houses, which will turn into more strip malls, more asphalt, more buildings... how unfortunate that we can't look at land as beautiful as this and see anything but development prospects, oh, and profit! Hasn't enough been built up already? Did anyone research negative consequences and the harm done as a result of urban sprawl? Not to mention the risks associated with this in an economy that is doing horribly, to say the least. Not very responsible decision making for people put in position to do what's best for Allen County. So much for becoming a progressive community and becoming mindful of our surroundings.

The action of this board are disgraceful, unable to make a stand to preserve a vital woodland ecosystem. Sadly, the wrong people are in a position to reduce everyone's quality of life by letting nature be destroyed so flagrantly. It's so disappointing to be represented by such individuals in government. Hey, it happens on a national level, too, doesn't it.
