Dear Mad Bovine,
I too am gainfully employed, which is why I haven't had time to check for your response until now. Do I have proof? That's all you've got? Norway Dam let through roughly 6,000 cubic feet per second (cfs)for many days preceding "all that rain" that fell before 12:00am January 8th. They continued letting through roughly 6,000 cfs until 6am when it jumped to 24,000 cfs. In Liquid Volume 1 cubic foot = 7.48 gallons. 7.48 gallons X a difference of 18,000 cfs = 134,630 gallons per second (or 484 million gallons per hour). In that time from 12am to 6am the Tippecanoe river north of Norway dam rose to the tippy top and spilled over. If that's not holding up the river, I don't know what is. Nipsco didn't deny it when I questioned them at a Town Hall meeting regarding the flood. Their Rep just hid behind the FERC who conveniently didn't show up. If you can't accept that as fact then look it up yourself. If you want to see the novel of data, files and hydrographic printouts I've collected to support these facts, come on over. Unlike you and every other person on this page who has written well summed up opinions with no actual facts while lumping all of the victims together, I only speak out about things about which I have 1st hand knowledge. I have better things to do with my free time than write a bunch of negative gossip from my pedestal above all other humans. Keep your job and shop around for a brain and a life.
