Teen stabbed to death at Osceola house party

What a sad story, another failure of our legal system, this kid Adam was already out and on probation for a violent crime. Most around here know that he was a "wanna be" skinhead too. His story just doesn't make sense that he just happened to have a knife in his hand.

You didn't read the story, he was opening a can of dip with his pocket knife, then was attacked, ask yourself if you were in the kitchen cutting up some carrots and soemone attacked you would you use the knife in your hand, or what?

So sorry for your lost our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family at this very diffcult time. We saw his little sister giving out candy Saturday and had no clue she had just lost her brother.

I do not know Afam. I have had the pleasure of teaching Chandler for two years. He will be in my heart forever. There are two families suffering from this awful tragedy. My prayers go out to Chandler's family. I will miss you so much in my 5th period class will not be the same without you there.

not sure what kind of parties you attend but when i go to a party, I don't expect to get stabbed to death - and i'd ask for a can opener - not a knife in my pocket to open some dip. Two families that will live forever with this horrible incident. My prayers and thoughts to a community i grew up in - and never felt the need to even lock my doors during the day.

i now read a "dip" was of tobacco....i suppose a can opener wouldn't have opened a pkg of chewing tobacco..nor should a 16 year have had if...if the kid was already on probation for assault - why did he have any kind of knife on him?

I know the truth to this entire story and I can tell you that this was a tragic accident that never should have happened. Both boys were in the wrong! Chandler for going to the party with the wrong intentions of starting a fight. Chandler called out Adam and Adam tried to ignore him until Chandler jumped him from behind and hit him over the head. Chandler knew that Adam had a knife in his hands opening some dip but he was egged on by one of his friends to take Adam. So, stop passing judgement on Adam!! You don't know the whole story so you should keep your mouth shut and pray for both families who have had their lives TRAGICALLY altered forever and you should also pray for the teens that had to witness a friend die and a friend go to jail when he was just defending himself!! PS the previous charges of assault were dropped!!

Im sorry to say Adam was wayy more wrong, How do you accidentally stab someone THREE TIMES !!!!! Adam should be put in prison for life for what he did to Chan, cause that boy didn't deserve it. If your gonna defend yourself then you do it WITHOUT a knife.The charges for he recent couldn't of been dropped if he was on PROBATION for it.

Maddison, How do you know that he was stabbed 3 times? Were you there? NO! I have heard the truth and to my knowledge the autopsy results haven't been released to the public! Chandler had a weapon of his own that he used when he attacked Adam from behind. Did you know that? NO! So, I have my facts straight because I have heard the truth!! Kids are so stupid these days. They fight each others battles. Chandler had no reason to have a beef with Adam. The only reason he was mad at him was because of a previous fight between Adam and another kid. So, wrong place, wrong time, fighting is ALWAYS WRONG!! SAD, SAD Tragedy that no one deserved for either boy! One was attacked from behind with a weapon for no reason and the other lost his life because he chose NOT to walk away and instead instigate a fight!!

No, his previous charges of AGRRAVATED ASSAULT were not dropped, yes, AGGRAVATED, not simple,k he's being smacked for violating his probation on that too. And why the hell is a grown adult man letting underage kids party at his house, using tabacco and alcohol? What is wrong with some parents??

Who cares? One less idiot walking the streets plus an addition to the prison system. Boo Hoo!

A very tragic accident that could have been prevented! A lesson to everyone, violence never solves anything! and to the parents or guardians, know where and what your child/children are doing at all times. I just hope in these times we can resolve things in peace and not pass judgement. My prayers goes out to both families.

This is such an unfortuante incident. We have to remember that teenagers, especially boys, have a ton of testosterone pumping through their veins, and the critical thinking portions of their brains are 5-7 years from fully developing. Most adults can process all of the violence we are exposed to in this modern world and decide what is right and wrong, but our children don't necessarily have the tools to do so yet. We have to take responsiblity as a society for this horrible event, and make changes to see that it doesn't happen to another child. (And just because you're legally an adult, does not mean your body has caught up.) Placing blame on one person or the other is completely ineffective in accomplishing this goal.

Actually no Adam's previous charges WERE NOT dropped, why else do you think he was on probation dumb ass? And as a matter of fact, Adam has had numerous incidents of violence in the past. It wasn't but a little over a month ago he pulled a gun on 2 other high school students, which is the reason Chandler punched him in the face!! He was a pussy ass who could only resort to violence with weapons! how is it self defense when he stabbed him several times. im not going to put a number because i dont know how many times but i know it was def. more than once! and to all the kids at the party who didnt do anything, what is wrong with you? that could have just as easily been you and you did nothing to help this boy! even after this happened nobody did anything to try to save him except 1 person! what has this world come to! RIP Chandler AND I hope you get Justice!!! Adam I hope you get life in jail!

My heart goes out to both families. It is truely a very sad and tragic accident. Now we have two families that have lost thier son's.

Reddog - you know nothing about me - i'm not sorry if i associate "dip" at a party as onion or spinach and not chewing dip-if that's all you thing of - maybe you need to spend more time out of Leesburg! All beside the point, it is a tragic incident for both families and for a society that accepts the behavior and does little to change it - it's not just in SC, it's everywhere.
