does gayville have any right to call itself the "hay capital of the world" ? i myself know of many much larger hay communities, eg San Francisco, Sydney Australia, and Brighton England.

Gayville can certainly call itself the hay capital of the world. Larger does not necessarily mean better. Gayville hay is tops!

Any town can call itself anything it wants, however, Yates Center Kansas has been the Hay Capital of the World since the 1800s. Check out the Hay Capital BBQ Cook Off they are holding this July at www.haycapitalbbq.com

I know for a fact if i can find the picture GAYVILLE HAD SEMI LOADS OF PARRIE LOADED EVERY DAY . THAT WAS OVER 30 YEARS AGO WHEN IT WAS A BIG LONG CELERBATION I KNOW BECAUSE MY UNCLE HAULED OUT OF THAT TOWN . ALSO MY DAD WAS RAISED IN SAINT HELENA & YES THE WUEBBENS HAVE A REUNION EVERY TWO YEARS .
