It's either multiple tasing of a fish, or drunk driving a boat.

I'm going with the fish, makes more sense.

Thank you Marine Patrol for getting a crook with a badge off the water. Its nice to see not all in law enforcement look the other way when one of their own is the bad guy.

i feel very safe living in lake co. since im 58 yrs old. too bad for the younger set...from what i hear from my 19 yr old, who works late, he gets pulled over and searched, and intimidated regularly...im happy lake co s.o. takes so much time and taxpayer money to keep us safe from teen pot smokers and folks that have a crack rock....oh! iforgot those people dont vote...in closing, dont neglect wearing your seat belt when in a school bus race....if you aqre injured or killed it could cost lake co taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Not many at the Lake Co sheriff's office. Drunkards and 40% at last count have alternative lifestyles. That means 40% of 655+ people are not sure who they are and what they are, but they are toting guns and arresting people with brains,

Just the latest chapter in the sad heritage of the Lake County Sheriff's Office, though certainly far from the worst:

if most would read the full story and take it for what it says without adding your own conclusions you'll read where the rep for fwc stated "There was no indication he was intoxicated." may i remind people even if he was it is not illegal for anyone to drink alcohol and boating under the influence is different from driving under the influence.

America is turning everyone slowly into criminals. It is not the act, it is getting caught. We do not have Republican government in most counties that vote in that direction. We have neo con Repubs. Step right up and turn a man into a felon. See the life of suffering to follow. But we get a few hundred extra employees for the county and that makes everyone else happy. Soon very few will afford to pay for their crimes anymore. Then what will happen?

JUST FYI IT IS ILLEGAL TO BOAT UNDER THE INFLUENCE.

327.35 Boating under the influence; penalties; "designated drivers".--

(1) A person is guilty of the offense of boating under the influence and is subject to punishment as provided in subsection (2) if the person is operating a vessel within this state and:

(a) The person is under the influence of alcoholic beverages, any chemical substance set forth in s. 877.111, or any substance controlled under chapter 893, when affected to the extent that the person's normal faculties are impaired;

(b) The person has a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 or more grams of alcohol per 100 milliliters of blood; or

(c) The person has a breath-alcohol level of 0.08 or more grams of alcohol per 210 liters of breath.

(2)(a) Except as provided in paragraph (b), subsection (3), or subsection (4), any person who is convicted of a violation of subsection (1) shall be punished:

Your spin does not hold water. This was a day of major crisis at the Glen. Three boats capsized two children died that day and another died within
a day or so. A thirty-six year old female was also rushed to the hospital. Lt. Ben Eason, FWC ordered Capt. Luce to cease and desist operation of the watercraft because he appeared intoxicated. Lt. Eason them turned the situation over to Kevin Lucas and went about with his duties regarding the accidents. Later he saw Luce back on the watercraft and that is when he called Borders. Now spin this one around. Ya'll just can't stand the truth can you.

I hear that Lt. Ben Eason actually turned him over to Lake Co boat Deputy Kevin Lucas who had another deputy with him. The problem was Capt Luce has authority over these guys and apparently nothing happened with that. After Lt. Eason saw Luce once again operating the watercraft that's when he decided to call Sheriff Borders. Luce as Lt. Todd Luce was the PIO for Sheriff Daniels. He was very active in Daniels campaign and was the one person who probably put up the most signs for Daniels. Sometime in early 2006 Luce was removed from that job as PIO and a lot of people always wondered why.
Now to the present administration. Lt. Todd Luce's father is the "Union Rep" for the Lake County firefighters union. Insiders say Todd cut a deal with Borders when he was running for Sheriff. Captain's bars for the support of the firefighters union. Don’t know if that’s true or not but both happened. In other words don't expect Borders to do anything about this incident, Peyton Grinnell himself has been stopped by Leesburg Police officers drunk on at least four occasions and not charged. I guess you could tell Grinnell looked like the cat that swallowed the canary yesterday on TV. Borders himself is also a beer drunk. The brass condones this behavior. And before someone tells you I am a sore loser or my name is Michelle or someone they call mudsnake, let me assure you I am none of the above. I am simply someone who believes the law applies to everyone equally and these folks should clean up their act and go to work protecting the citizens of Lake County for all the fat checks we are paying them.
Well said. When are they ever going to wake up and realize the days of showing favoritism and getting away with it are over. The public WILL find out and you WILL have to answer to it. Favoritism opens the door to corruption and that defies the purpose of having laws. Everyone must be treated equally and no one is above the law.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Pisces

Although you're busy putting the finishing touches to your Christmas preparations, you'll also have to pay attention to someone who's feeling neglected or unloved. Luckily, it won't take much to make this person feel better, so a big hug or a little consideration might do the trick. You should also bear in mind that they may be feeling nostalgic or sad about the past.
