How convenient! New Morgan has a landfill and the hospital will be within the New Morgan borough and dump all it's waste into that same place. It's amazing all of us have survived living "way out here" without hospitals close by. The positive side, hopefully, the hospital will be able to provide jobs to this community.

What's convenient is that the hospital just laid off a ton of workers this past summer. Made cuts practically everywhere. Now they suddenly have money to buy a freaking piece of land that they won't even build on for another 20 years.

What I heard they are breaking ground in 2011, not 20 years. We need a hospital that is closer to Morgantown area.

We should be more concerned with what is coming down the road in the next 10-20 years....6,000 more houses....the roads won't be able to take it let alone all the garbage from 6,000 more homes....all the land is being used for development and it won't be long before we are King of Prussia 3- Exton is 2 and we're close behind...)-:

They now have a Quick-care center in Morgantown behind Doug's Pharmacy on Rt.23. So many medical facilities who has the medical insurance to pay for care.

Wait for health care reforms before you build something that the general public cannot afford to pay for.

Perhaps local medical administrators and CEOs should focus on hiring hospital physicians who are capable of completely and correctly diagnosing all patients, respecting the wishes of the patient, and prolonging the lives of patients.

More importantly, since the art of communication between a doctor and patient are critical during hospitalization, the CEOs should insist that all doctors are able to speak clearly understood English if that is the patient's language.

It does appear that this may not always be the case and may prove seriously injurious, harmful, or even fatal for the ill yet innocent patient.

While expansion and planning for the future are important for the future of a hospital, the patients' lives are more important to them.

If a hospital's primary goal is to care for all patients, then some have completely forgotten that basic premise and fail regarding prompt, complete and appropriate patient care.

Would someone please remind them of that before more patients are harmed and more valid medical malpractice suits are appropriately filed?

Isn't it also up to the patient to clearly state to the doctors their wishes and desires for their health care and question everything. They should not just sit there when doctor is talking to them and then afterwards say to themselves, oh I wish I had asked that.

If we the patients start treating our doctors as partners and question everything, don't you think they just might change? And if not? Change doctors!

wishes were clearly stated by patient and family

docs were questioned, became annoyed because they could not correctly diagnose the patient

know it all gods can't be changed, only sued as we have the proof

some docs are incompetent and think they age gods

please stop giving idiot docs credit

Not all docs are idiots but some are. Sorry if you thought I was giving idiot doctors credit.

Didn't I say change doctors if you are under the care of an incompetent doctor?

And for suing....well that helps control our health care costs doesn't it.......

Once admitted to the hospital, a patient is sometimes only treated by the idiots, god-like, controlling docs and his/her personal physicians are not able to have any rights. You are NOT allowed
to select another hospitalist AND not one of them could completely and correctly diagnose. Proven later!

If the patient lives, it is that person's job to rid the system of incompetents, not to control health care costs. That's a nationwide financial/business issue.

A Patient's right to live and be cared for by competents physicians is a separate issue altogether. Don't you want intelligent, competent physicians caring for your family in the future?

THE ONLY WAY TO STOP MEDICAL ABUSE AND IGNORANCE IS TO WHAT...

Additionally, a different institution correctly diagnosed and treated the patient after first having suffered for over six weeks under the care of indifferent, cocky and ignorant physicians, hospitalists, and "specialists"

The local hospital was allowing the patient to needlessly suffer for weeks and the patient would have ultimately died at the hands of these goofs in white coats with medical degrees and humungous attitudes of superiority.

It was a group think mentality..not one could figure out a simple diagnosis so they all were consulted...with no success for the patient... neurologists, infection control, psychiatrists, hospitalists....

After the bill climbed to over $100,000, they quickly decided to move the patient to another place to die...because they could not correctly diagnose...they all got paid..for their incompetence...
no wonder they can buy land and build, build, build...on the coffins of how many patients? to continue to spread their incompetence all over the area...and the patients suffer and die
needlessly

A few of the nurses were good but some were constantly discussing their private sex lives, best restaurants, next boyfriends, garden
vegetables, children...all while supposed to doing nursing and attending to patients. Some aids were coughing on the patients continually...saw other patients treated in the same manner...like
dirt

pathetic local care

Hope you or your loved ones NEVER have to ever experience such horrible and terrifying events.

It's even dificult now to believe that these people are charged with helping people to stay alive!!!!Dr. Kevorkian has nothning on this group.

Horrible experience and we will never again trust them. They are not worthy of anyone's trust.

What can I say - sorry for your experience and hope other people don't have the same. I do empathize with you.

But you can't blame ALL physicians for the ones who you're talking about. There are good physicians out there.

Want to start a discussion about incompetent lawyers?

This patient's life has been devastated by the lack of good care and still may not survive. Loved ones devastated too.

The only way to get rid of them is to sue them and their hospital...hurt them where it always hurts...their wallets and purses. And make them aware of their ignorance...they won't give me an argument again about their abilities as physicians to diagnose and treat properly...they couldn't a few months ago.

I am only writing this about about 10 local physicians working in a hospital caring for thousands of other unknowing patients and family members who might believe everything the docs say like WE used to do. May this serve as a fair and distinct warning to anyone who reads it.

I am not addressing the most wonderful and intelligent physicians I have had the pleasure of meeting.

Also, I already know some incompetent, thieving lawyers in the area..no thanks.

There is a place in Morgantown that incinerates medical waste already. Stericycle, haz-mat and medical infectious waste. The town is dumpier than most people know.

Where will they find qualified doctors? Perhaps they can pull Amos from the tractor and give him a scalpel. Or mabey they can bring in the guy with the mullet and missing teeth.

Qualified docs are graduating every year.

And...

You just voiced your penchant for discrimination... against farmers, different haircuts and those with dental problems. Wow..hope you're not a doc.

Let me ask you this. When is the last time you're seen a doctor with a mullet, bad teeth, or a black hat? Am I discriminating or being honest?

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Cancer

Be careful today Cancer, because your emotions could cloud certain issues as they often to and leave you feeling confused. You should be especially wary of believing what you want to believe, rather than believing the evidence in front of your eyes. It's easy to kid yourself now about someone's motives or reliability, even if deep down you know that you're telling yourself a load of old twaddle.
