Priceline.com plans call center in Michigan

So....is this Norwalk based business saying that this great "business friendly" state couldnt match Michigan???????

Maybe 300 to 400 jobs???? Ct doesnt need these jobs.........

OR.......once this place is built in Michigan.it will suddenly hit them " damn, it IS cheaper doing business out of Ct....".........we can kiss the headquarters goodbye.........lol

They probably couldn't find polite people, with decent grammar skills to answer the phone in a friendly helpful way.

1. Electric rates - each of these people will have a computer
2. Commuting - like anyone can get to work on time
3. Real Estate - what is making the prices so high? The prices are way over value (hence a colapse is on its way)
4. Attitude - people in CT have decent welfare benefits - I am sure that the call center manager would have been made aware of such.
5. Norwalk is a bedroom community to NYC, so there is competition for the best
6. Taxes, Taxes Taxes - working here in CT I can not believe what my company pays in taxes
7. Our AG - way to over zelious at times, Doing business in CT is like sahring a house with a rapid pit bull.

Another company I won't be doing business with. If they run out on this state during a hard time they shouldn't get business from 1 Connecticut resident. This state needs corporate citizens to give something back to bring our state around again, not run with their tale between their legs at the first sign of trouble. The real problem is that the executives of these companies are grossly overcompensated so the second they don't make 20 million per year they get out of dodge. I think it's horrible what the economy is going through but I'm slightly encouraged when I see reports that Americans are shopping less and driving even less. People are getting tired of corporate America and their less than stellar treatment of consumers and it's beginning to show
