Customers at Marge's Donut Den dish about early morning earthquake

I live in Holland, and it woke me up. I remember waking up, looking at the clock (5:30 am) and thinking, "why am I awake?" as I thought that I felt the bed move for a few seconds. Then, I thought "that was weird, like an earthquake or something... yeah right no one would believe me if I told them that!" Then at 6 when I got up and turned on Channel 13 you guys were talking about it!

I was sleeping on the concrete under US-131 when the concrete started to shake. I figured it was one of the big trucks going by but there was no sound of the truck. It was scary. If I was killed nobody would have known who i was because I have no teeth making my dental records worthless. I am at the library now using their computers and everything looks okay here. It is after noon so off to the liquidor store i go.

An earthquake? In Michigan? Wow, that's very unusual!

... and my shampoo and conditioner fell off the shelf....
Cut to: BLAM! goes the Marges Donut box. How cheesy can a "news" report be? |

I live downtown Grand Haven and woke up at 5:34 to my bed shaking. Since I live in an older building that you can usually feel move when the wind blows, I thought WOW it must be really windy out. When I opened my blinds and looked at the flags across the street they weren't even moving.
When I got up- I saw it on the news! I wondered if anyone else around me felt it, but figure they would have had to because nothing wakes me up! |

OMG, this getting beyond rediculous. The center of the quake was a few states and a body of water away. What we felt was a TINY rumble. I highly doubt it was enough to knock anything off any shelf. I slept thru it.

There was cat poop on my floor this morning. Does an earthquake make cats poop? Like it scares them and then they poop?

Well, it is WZZM-TV, who always thinks that quality news has to have some local connection to be valid. They'll go out of their way to make any sort of "West Michigan reference" in their reporting. It's absolutely some of the worst station policy ever, in my opinion. They really need to check out better markets like Philadelphia and Chicago to see how it's done. When I travel, I always love watching other television coverage and lament the fact that I have to return back to Grand Rapids' hokey-pokey style of news after my journey ends. |

If you don't like it then don't watch it or read it on their web site. That's an easy problem to solve. I think even you can handle that. Change the channel... |
Heck, it scared me enough to poop on my floor, so I guess it could scare cat's too. |

Someone on the other thread about the earthquake said it made their stool move in their bathroom so I guess it could scare the c.rap out of you. LOL. |

Can anyone explain to me why it is that some people get zits all over themselves and others just get one here and there and only once in a while? I was trying to help a friend over on the other board with a zit problem and it came to me that some other fans may have the same problem. I am going to address this problem to people from other forums as well. Zits are a pesky problem that everyone has had at some time and don't lie about it either, they got under your skin at some point and you know it. You had them too at some time. Let us all work together to eradicate these pesky unwanted zits and all have a good laugh and celebration together.
