Sports Bar in Wylie

i think that would be a great idea..chilis is the only one and its not even a sportsbar

I agree, that would be a great idea. I am new to the area and have yet to see anything other than Chilli's. I used to work at Coyote Ugly in Deep Ellum in Dallas, and this place needs something along those lines. I just move here(Wylie) from Baltimore, Md and i can't believe there's no single sports bar in the area. I have to drive all the way to Dallas for a drink. This is awful..In Baltimore sports bars are like 7-Elevens...they're every where..But anyway its good for the kids here and i won't complaign and probably my woman will be on my behind all the time...i can't even escape

I would like some input as to what you would like in a wylie sports bar, ie. dart boards, ntn trivia, pool tables, karaoke, dj, shuffle boards. etc..

Two words, Steve--Intolerant Baptists.

1st Baptist Wylie controls this town, and while there are many good people that go there and have common sense, there seems to be an equal to greater number of people that are Christians in name only that want to make sure that since they're not having fun, no one else will have fun in that city as well.

Have you seen the new wireless table top audio speakers for sports bars? They are really cool. They have them at Frankie's in Dallas. I can hear whatever game I want to and still hold a conversation with my friends. If I had a bar, I would definitely have Soundog.

I really don't like the idea personally. We already have one on 78 going towards Sachse. I've never been in there b/c a friend told me that its all smokey from all the people that smoke in there. I like our quiet little town.
I would like to have a AppleBees and that has a sports bar in it.

Steve, that's an excellent idea, there is not enough adult entertainment in Wylie. Chili's has none. We drive all over the area trying to find good places to do karaoke and dance. I think the laws are strange though, you may have to get the majority of your income from selling food to get a liquor license.

Steve, just heard that one of the clubs we frequent for karaoke in Plano is shutting down January 1st. It is Buono Appetito on 14th St on the south side between Jupiter and Shiloh. All setup with bar and restaurant. Only problem in Plano is no smoking.

I have been to this place and the food is a sorry attempt, looks like a cheap attempt at a mexican grill cantina. The food is terrible! Just terrible!
The Owner is a smug arrogant man, stay far away from this place.
