WHY don't we know the identity of the 48 year old Richboro guy that committed this hit & run on a 14 year old neighbor and left him pinned under the Southampton Roofing & Siding Truck? WHY don't we know who the relative's name is who came to support him immediately after the "ACCIDENT" with the get-a-way car? Why don't we know who the identity of the relative's home that this COWARD fled to while an innocent boy lay in the street like road kill? John Norton is the owner of Southampton Roofing & Siding and does lots of work in the area. Mostly because they come in low bidder. Maybe people will think twice and realize he's low alright in more ways then one. Remember low bidder is not always the best sometimes you need to look at the whole picture!

The man hit a child and left them for dead...does it matter what he does for a living ? My friend was hit by an ER doctor who also left the scene but the fact of the matter is THEY left these people to die and didn't care. What they do for a living is another story,The fact that John who is also the father of a 14 year old child would make you think he would have jumped out of that truck and at least held that child until help arrived if nothing else but being a Roofer has nothing to do with him being wrong. Leaving the scene, being intoxicated, calling his wife to cover him and then hiding is what makes him WRONG ! I hope this child makes a full recovery, he's in my prayers.

i just think everyone needs to hop off his back and leave him alone. stop trashing him. its not your business. yeah you have the right to opinionate but dont have the right to judge. half the crap on hear and in the papers and the news isnt true. how can you believe rumors when you can ask the people who really know. like his kids. like his sisters. not his wife. not one can trust her. but his parents. think of how all of you people are hurting his kids even more. and his parents and his sisters and brothers. drop it and leave him alone. let the people who really need to be involved get involved.

My thoughts and prayers go out to both of these families. John has children as well as a loving family and this tragedy has to be taking it's toll on everyone. Yes, John should have known better than to get behind the wheel or better yet someone from the establisment itself should have stepped in and taken him home. I cant imagine having a BAC that high and no one noticed that he was impared. Still a choice was made.

John will have to pay for his actions and hopefully after all is said and done he will emerge a better person. As for Max (our victim) I pray he has a full recovery and I hope the community will step in and help both of these families during this difficult time.

No one wins here, all families involved have been changed forever and while I don't condone John's actions- I cannot make judgement. I just hope that he receives the help that he needs and knowing John for many years I know that he has to feel horrible for his actions. Let's face it tragedy can happen to anyone and we all think that it will never happen to us. This has happened here in our community and it happened to a guy who is well liked as well as to a young boy who didnt wake up that day ever thinking that he would be hit by a truck. Lives have been destroyed in an instant. What a terrible tragedy for all involved.

My husband worked for John many years ago and to this day we both have said that John from Southampton Roofing was a great guy who just made a bad choice. John Q Public are you going to say that you have NEVER made a mistake or did something you regret ? I feel terrible for Max and I pray he makes a full recovery but to sit on here and talk all this crap about John Norton is unacceptable. We don't ever have to forget but we must forgive. John Q you seriously need help and should allow the Police to continue with their investigation. For all you know you could be causing more harm then good. This situation could have been much worst!!! Lets be honest here...Mr. Norton is not an occasional drinker. The blood alcohol level proves that.
He is a cronic drinker, and I read that he had prior DUIs, in other words he was an accident that was waiting to happen. The person who has the drinking problem knows this and also so does the closest people to them. I am the family member of someone who was killed in a car accident by a drunk driver. So tell me, why does an innocent person need to be injured in order for someone to seek help. It's just not fair that this child MAX may have been somebodys "ROCK BOTTOM".

To John Q. Public and the rest of you…I in fact am John Norton’s daughter who lives with his ex wife who has raised me pretty well I attend a university in Philadelphia and am currently making something of myself. I am pretty sure that what I write on facebook is none of any of your business and despite my foul language what I say to one of my best friends should not be posted on your blog. I was not making a mockery of this case either; I was simply asking my best friend of 7 years if she would attend the hearing with me because I am extremely upset. What happened to Max is a tragedy and although I had NOTHING to do with the accident nor was I there I still feel sick to my stomach when it is brought up. Max and his family have been in my prayers since March 20, and I know that my father is forever regretful of his bad decisions of that night. It makes me absolutely unwell to read that you all would honestly sit here and bash my family, my sister and I had nothing to do with this accident and we should not be exploited because you’re looking for some gossip to blog about. I will have you know that I know the Norton family very well, not John in particular but his two daughters and ex-wife. If you are so considered with this terrible, tragic incident that happened with Max, go ahead, state your feelings and angry thoughts. But once you bring an innocent young girl such as Jill into this you have completely crossed the line. Why are you so overly obsessed with what she says to her friends on her facebook? It is very immature of such a "knowledgable man" to go bash an 18 year old girl and his other unknown daughter that they have not been considerate of what happened to Max. You cannot judge John's family, especially his daughters, for something that he did. It has effected them in more ways than one but they have no control over their father's actions. Reading this blog has made me aware of the absolute idiots that read your blog and believe that your thoughts are facts. You need to stop spending so much time focusing on John's family and more time praying for Max, as he is the only true victim that is in need of help at this time.
