I have learned that Commissioner Jimmy Tallman was busting Fire Chief Mitch Andrews chops about a fire truck that was using 100 gallons of diesel fuel a month. The very commissioner that said he would do what he could to help the department is now making it look bad. First of all, the chief is still within his budget. Check with Donna she can verify it. Second, does Mr. Tallman have any idea what that truck was doing. The fire department goes to more than fires. I believe Tallman is retaliating for what the fire department members did in the previous month's meeting. Boy you have shown real class Jimmy. You say one thing and then do another. I'm glad I don't live in your district. I wouldn't know whether to trust what you said.

If they all called one another, they have violated the Florida Government in the Sunshine laws. They are not allowed to discuss any matter that might come before the board to be voted on, in less it is in a meeting. Proving they did it is an entirely different matter. What law isn't being broken? They Do it all the time, The sunshine law is just a BOOK it has no meaning apparently. I'm not new to the town UCwriter and neither are you, you and I both know, there was no meeting when Michelle was dismissed. Do the research, I did. I went to the UC Times and asked if there was a special meeting held,she said not that I know of. Mr. Miller, owner of the paper he knows about it why don't we ask Michelle? It doesn't matter where they move her she is a good person. I've actually went in to the library to see her and she is doing great! Here is my opinion, they need to worry about that board office, inside those walls instead of the Sheriff's office. Somethings never change and UCcitizen, your both right. A lot more of us do need to show up. If they would hold a second meeting during the month in the morning that would be great. Bradford County does it, the Union County School Board does it, why is the Union County Board of County Commissioners so special. It's because they don't want people to get involved. I was told once by Regina Parrish that this is a quite community and we want it to stay that way. I have since found out it's because they want to cover up the way their doing things. Regina and Donna think they run the county. It's time for our 5 elected officials to show them otherwise. If they don't it's time to get 5 new ones. My understanding of Michelle's situation is that the board gave Mrs. Cossey the authority to handle the situation. The problem is they didn't do it in a meeting. That's a violation of the Sunshine laws. I looking into what I must do to file a complaint against the board for it. I also believe Michelle knew what was going on and refused to be a part of it, so she was sent on her way. If you don't go along, your not there long. Our five commissioners need to grow a backbone. They run the county, they need to show us they actually know that!

UCwriter,my understanding was Regina called Rickey Jenkins and Cossey called the other 4,sad situation. There were and still are people in our community still talking about this. Michelle had no choice it was the library or nothing, and a commissioner told me this. Michelle did a good Job and Effective one at that. Michelle was and still is in my book a professional Lady.We need to support her for this was so wrong and the commissioners know it was!

Somethings Never Change, if this is the case, Michelle has an airtight lawsuit against the county. I'd sue them in a heartbeat for it. The board can't do what they did. Michelle did do a great job and she deserved better treatment. Just remember, what goes around comes around. I know some county commissioners that will have Krama kick them in the butt.

But yet we can't buy a Fire Truck for our fire dept. there are to many things being hidden in this county. Maybe we need a new clerk and Finance Director, better yet maybe that whole area needs cleaned out. They keep taking out the good people and paying the Bad...

i believed in the fall when the dynamics of the board changed, they were going to reclaim the county. it's only gotten worse, the commissioners might as well all resign. Donna is not a county employee, she is a clerk of court employee, that is 2 different buckets of money. There are clerk of court employees that feel like county employees, job scared if they complain.

think what ya want to think disappointed, but so untrue Donna runs union county, All but the sheriff, Regina gave her the Board to run as well as the clerks office,EMS, road dept., solid waste, Building dept. we all know in the county Donna had Carol moved what ever she wants she gets she had michelle moved to, Thank God james r. wrote about her the man has balls truth is all it was. Disappointed just remember who runs the bucket for the whole county remember that!because its the same bucket when county employees get nothing but 18 and 19 and 23 yr olds getting 2600 dollars and told not to tell ?
