Who's in Charge in Cambridge, Maryland

Seriously. In most cities I've lived in, the Mayor and the city council runs the city but here in Cambridge, I wonder who is in charge. Don't we have a newly elected African American, female Mayor??? And, didn't this person sign in, under the campaign slogans of change, and equality for minorities and the like? Where is this person? Is she afraid to step up and do her job as Mayor, or is she being held back by "white", and definitely not elite, but surely republican, old men and old women and old school racist biggots, from doing her job effectlively... What is the deal here in this town? ISn't this an established "black" town? Then why does it seem that since the race riots in the 60's, that republican, white men, has been running things and running them into the ground, as if to say, if we can't have this town, then nobody will, and definitely, not the blacks and mexicans that surely, keeps the city alive and accomplishes all the work. Come on Mayor, get it together. Do your job and represent those who help you get into office. Surely, it's time for change and leave the church and religion out of it.... Better yet, leave social services or whatever else you're doing and do what you were put in office to do, and that is clean up the mess that white people have made and put some black pride into a city who is crying for attention from a fair/open-minded democratic leader. Remember the song, "This little light of mine"... Well, light up the city because the beautifulo people of Cambridge are beginning to look like little lost sheep...

Unlike most communties where riots occured, Cambridge is a small town on the water and the area like the rest of the Eastern Shore is attracting a lot of part timers and retirees.Many of these are white but not all. 4. The co valectorian of North Dorchester was a Vietnamese female and the 2003 valectorian of Cambridge was a Chinese girl who went to Princeton. 5, The Mayor is popular amoung black and white and 6.
