Are You Kidding Me

Kit Hadley is yet another example of our Mayor appointing "political" operatives" rather than qualified people to serve the needs of the taxpayers. Hadley's qualifications include bankrupting the Minneapolis library system, overseeing the most costly, defective library ever built and being left on the sidelines when Hennepin County hired a " qualified" library manager to run the merged system. Hadely's financial incompetance still costs the taxpayers in Hennepin County today. If not for the Hennepin County Board takinking control of the Minneapolis library system from Hadley, Minneapolis library's would continue to be in debt and closed three days a week. Mayor we know you are running for Governor but you, like Governor Pawlenty, need to focus on the job you have rather than the one you want. This choice, among many of your others, shows St. Paul is not where your interests are .

Pity Coleman didn't selected some one with private sector experience, say someone who has run a comparably sized business and run it for a profit. But no, our beloved mayor, who hopes to one day take his unique skills to the state level -- and I've even heard from an associate of his, national level -- has selected a soul to run the show drawing on her disaster in Minneapolis. Apparatchiks only choose other apparatchiks. And Saint Paul, in its DFL-led campaign to bleed to death, just took another small, bleeding cut.

Don't worry. The MEDIA will now find that she had an overdue book seventeen years ago, and she will be forced to resign.

Hard To Understand
Minneapolis, MN

I had a very difficult time this afternoon trying to explain to an out-of-town family member how Minneapolis had torn down a wonderful central library, build a brand-new central library that bankrupt the entire Minneapolis library system, and ended up losing the entire city library system along the way. I defy anyone to try to explain it to someone who didn't live through it; it just doesn't make any sense. And now, you say, the same individual is going across the river to run the St Paul libraries. Only Chris Coleman would even imagine such a thing. He is, after all, the same mayor who proposed shutting down libraries and rec centers all over town while building a new ice rink right next to the old ice rink.
