And the reason we need to call Detective Stephanie Krajchir is what again? They have the evidence and the two criminals, just what more do you need? Why were they released? So they could attend school the next day?

In many occasions Police looked for adults for crime like this. Not all the time kids are caught, because most of time they 're in bed or watched television. To make the long story short, I glade the police got them. They have their names on file, now.

They should be left in jail for a few days instead of released to their parents? Also, they should have been in school that day? What the Hell?? I hope they make the parents pay restitution to the people they robbed and make the kids to cleanup work in the neighborhood so that all the neighbors can see who they are??? They are soooo lucky the that the people there didn't shoot them or beat them up...

Released to their parents? WTF? Now they know that they will not have to serve any time for their crimes. Doesn't the amount they stole qualify as a felony?

Throw their a$$e$ in jail for a year and see what they think then.

While they are at it why not charge the parents for being crappy parents.

Too bad they can't release their names. I bet we'll see them again and again and again, especially once they figgur out noting real bad happens to them when they get caught.

Both had nabbed more money on that day than either of them probably could have earned in a year of hard work, do you think they won't try to do it again? Does anyone think this was thier first try?

I'd like to see them cained. At least then they might not want to return to a life of crime.

get off your soapbox. this isn't a political or racial issue. it is definitely one of parental control (possibly a lack of) and crime.

releasing these kids to their parents after a few hours was nothing more than a slap on the wrist with with a wet noodle. i, too, think the amount of stolen jewelry, cash and other items should qualify this as a felony crime. reducing the age and keeping the parents responsible for such crimes committed by their little angels might serve as a deterrent. those two 15 year olds should be charged as adults.

God, some of you people are stupid. "Released to parents" doesn't mean that they won't be punished. Juvenile courts do not have bail. Arrestees who are not charged with violent crimes and who don't have prior records are frequently released to their parents the same way an adult would be given bail. When an arrestee is charged and released, they are given a court date to return, where they will be formally charged and a date will be set for trial.

AFTER they are convicted (which I'm sure they will be) they will be SENTENCED. That's when the punishment happens -- not at arrest.

And the reason that the Detective wants people with info to call her is that maybe these little shits have broken into OTHER people's homes and they want to nail them for all the other crimes they may have committed, not just what they got arrested for.

Huh? Burglary is theft. It is a not violent crime. Juveniles can be charged as adults if what they did was a very violent, serious crime (murder, rape, etc.) or if they've been in trouble so many times that the juvenile court feels it can't rehabilitate them. What they did was certainly a felony and they should serve some time for it, but it does not rise to the level where they belong in adult court.
