The Warren County Board of Education has somehow been presented with an outstanding candidate for superintendent, but they probably won't hire him. Dennis Dearden is the real deal -- a charismatic, intelligent, dynamic leader who can take the school system to great heights. It will be interesting to see if the board members have the courage to do what is right for our children or if they stick with the "Good ol' Boy".

Yeah, I researched Dearden online and he has great credentials. The school board needs to do whatever it takes to hire this guy. He can take our school district to the next level, if we can get him on board. Sounds like Stanfield is a solid candidate as well.

Talked to someone who met Dearden when he was in town, and she was blown away! He's apparently a very impressive guy. It will be interesting to see if the school board members have the courage and wisdom to do what's right for our children.

I am willing to bet my money they will stay with the good old boy network.....You can count on Tim Murley will be the next one. He has already met with students at GHS telling them it is a matter of paperwork. They will not make the intellegent choice or Tim would not even be a consideration.

it's interesting to see that he Mr. Dearden has bamboozled those that have posted on this blog. His greatest asset is that he can sell ice-cubes to eskimos, and you have taken it hook, line and sinker. You haven't done all of your homework, if you think he is the real deal. He is all glitz and very little substance. If you end up with him, good luck in looking for a new superintendent in two or three years.

Mr. Murley's boasting already about a position that is suppose to open say a lot about the democratic system that is suppose to be in place. I know the when dealing with him about issues in schools he will not give answer to questions concerning issues he danced around question never giving a straight answer later laugh about how he blew the situation off with parents. I also had the pleasue of having him as a teacher, have a conversation with man find out for yourself how direct and intelligent he is. For the record I do not know anyone else running for the position but I cant believe he is the only choice

I've followed Mr. Murley's career since he began as a young teacher. I've never seen anyone less boastful or more concerned about the students. I believe that those of you who like the glitz and glamor don't appreciate Mr. Murley's native ability to recognize liars, cads and manipulators...people like you who are so negative. What happened? Did he figure you out when he saw you coming? Having met him, I figure that's probably what happened. I would bet my life he's not boasted to anyone about the results of this search. Bring your students to the Supt.'s office and let them tell the truth or lie their little heads off. You should be ashamed and you need to watch out for B.K...bad karma. He/she will dropping by to see you.

Well if you have followed his career you should know as well as anyone the good ol boy network has prevailed. I will not resort to the name calling, which says so much about you and your intelligents. As far as betting your life so to tell you, you would die it was not to one student is was to a class. Teachers also witness this. The point of the topic was to say the good ol boy network is still alive and well in Warren County

Concerned parent, I could not HELP but notice that you spelled "intelligents" wrong, your grammar could use work, and you write with run-on sentences. If your information-gathering is anything like your English skills, we'd all be better off to pay no attention whatsoever to anything you post.

I'll take my chances on that bet, buddy boy. As for name calling, a cad is someone of low character. I personally think it's a low character who gets on her and characterizes another person as one who "dances around the truth." tsk tsk...you didn't even leave your name; looks to me like you're doing a little dancing around yourself. I won't criticize your inability to be gramatically correct; In doing so, I may slander a teacher or teachers who put all effort in trying to teach you but were not successful.

Instead of slandering Mr. Murley by stating that he boasted to an entire class of students that he was going to be the next Supt, why don't you approach him ,mano y mano(man to man, face to face) with your concerns. I believe he's man enough to deal with it. That's my impression, anyways.

Mano a mano, and that is the correct spelling, is Spanish for hand to hand, not man to man nor face to face. Just sayin......

Well, it was just announced that Mr. Murley got it. I, for one, am glad and think they made the right decision. I'll bet anything in my possession that he didn't let anything out, because I know him. If you know anything at all about Mr. Murley, you too would know this. Obviously, you don't know him and choose your beliefs based on hearsay and half-baked theories.

Concerned Parent , you sound soooooooo jealous.
Why can't you just give the guy a chance. Maybe he will prove you wrong. Of all the people in B.G., looks like there are only 2 on here that agrees with you, or are you just one, pretending to be both?

Now, tell us again what it is that you portend will happen with Murley as Supt. I saw where you said you made a A (that really should be an A because you use an article before a vowel). As for you grammar proving your point, was he your English teacher? He seems to be quite articulate, himself; to be a "good ole' boy" that is.
