Two girls were literally assaulted by one of the Bouncers there the other night and the cops will do nothing. One girl was punched in the stomach and the face and grabbed her by the throat to the point where it left marks on her neck. The other was thrown threw the door and to the ground. Even if they deserved to be thrown out of the bar, which I saw no reason, there is absolutely no excuse for a 300 lb. man to literally beat up two girls. The worst part is they'll probably get away with it. Look at all the comments about the cops and that place on this forum alone.
I hope nobody ever sets foot in that place. I know I will never go there again. |

Ya Im sure that's exactly what happened two inocent girls were suddenlt attacked by a 300 lb bouncer. That kind of stuff happens all the time, especially at a business. Give me a break. Those girls were probably asked to leave because they were drunk or being a problem. Then being typical New Jersey they probably started mouthing off instead of just leaving. Past that no one can say what happened. The bottom line is that if a 300lb bouncer hit a girl I dont think she'd get up. This isn't TV.

By the way if you are writing from a perspective that you simply saw this taking place, how would you know that the cops won't do anything about it? Or that you were close enough to see marks on her neck but you didn't stop it. If I saw two girls getting beat up as you put it by a bouncer I would have stept in. It seems that perhaps you are one of the girls that got thrown out and instead of realizing that you were asked to leave for a reason, probably because you were drunk or being a problem have decided to bash the bar. Anyone that sticks around to argue with a bouncer about being asked to leave a bar instead of leaving is typical trash. I am just sick of reading people use the web as a place to state lies or half truths. The bar is a nice place. I have been there and liked it. It sounds like security did their job and whoever was asked to leave didn't. Why, I have no idea and really don't care. People need to be responsible for their actions.

this place is so incredibly wack!!!!!! this is a sports bar that swears it a club. the crowd sucks and its so not worth going if you want to really have a goodnight. I tried to have my Boy friends birthday there in a VIP room, we wanted a different scene bc we usually do bdays in nyc or hoboken. I thought it would be a fair location for my north and south jersey friends to meet somewhere in the middle. To make a long story short they confirmed my reservation and then tried to take it a way 2 days before the event when it was booked a week and a half ago, by saying that i couldnt have my event there and all they could so for me was give me a table in the main area {the table sits 4 ppl so my other 15+ friends would just have to crowd around, and that i needed a min of 30 ppl and 3 bottles non of which was disscused {The bottles weren't a problem or the room fee {which is another thing that was new]when i booked the room. the guy said they have another party that wants the room even though my was confimed first. they wanted me to change mine. they basically were trying to book the reservation was going to yield them the biggest profit. i was willing to drop a lot of money for his birthday but they didnt bother to offer me any of their options at first it was like pulling teeth when all i wanted to know was what they offered or any packages they give when you book a private event. I had to cancel the whole thing bc it wasnt worth it, the crowd is 35ish + which consists of all the local white trash that lives around there. you should see what some people wear ahahahahah. anyway no avid nightlife seeker would ever go there. no young trendy people at all, cant believe ive gone there once myself. we are hosting the party in Hoboken were they always treat us with class and professionalism!!!

What's a 'local wannabe'- let's use some operational definitions to clarify here. Every town has a local hang out...but I guess Elizabeth must be special (or perhaps no one would ever want to go to Elizabeth to begin with...but that's not the issue here). Big Shots is a decent bar that draws large crowds, clearly it's serving its purpose. Is there some shady business going on between town officials and the ownership...maybe? Do things get out of hand sometimes? Obviously. It's a BAR people, an establishment where people drink. Unfortunately, sometimes people drink over their limit but once again, that happens at ALL bars no matter how aware and careful bartenders are. I also have to take issue with people making false arguments about the car accident that occurred during the summer. Know the facts and also understand that not ALL the facts may be known to the public. The driver was not exceedingly over the alcohol limit and who really ran the red light?...hmm. Either way, it was an unfortunate accident and if you feel so strongly about stopping drunk drivers - do something about it. Chances are, you've driven home from a bar or someone's house under the illusion that you were "ok" to drive home or perhaps you've watched your friend drive home...or watched a stranger. We'd all like to claim we never have - but let's face reality here. The truth sucks sometimes. Anyway...back to the bar ITSELF. If it's not for you, don't go. If you want a club scene - go fist-pump your little heart out down at Chris Michaels. If you want a sports bar that doesn't care if you wear sweats and a hoodie...go to Fox & Hound. Not every bar is suitable to everyone's liking, but don't be so jaded to focus on one or two situations (situations that perhaps you only 'observed' from afar or heard about through rumors) to completely judge an establishment.*Just as a note...I don't work for Big Shots, I don't know anyone that does, basically, I hold no attachments to it. I just can't stand how ridiculous some people's comments are. Peace!

This place was absolutely horrible last night Saturday). The crowd was incredibly lame and the only good thing were the tiny half off drinks for ladies night. The male bartender was an absolute asshole and they overcharged my credit card $20. Be careful that they do not cheat you when you go, or just save yourself the hassle and trouble and do not waste your time going at all!

I had a blast last weekend, we saw Marty and the Martians playing, crowd was great, no complaints here. We're all going back on Oct 30th for the Halloween Party!!!

Gonna have to agree with the negative reviews here. It does make a difference when the owners are scumbags. Since opening they've been well known for hiring pretty girls and then cutting the hours and schedules of those who won't sleep with them. It doesn't make for the best "vibe" when you're there. It feels just like what it is: a bunch of Woodbridge cop wanna be players who have no business owning a bar. It's a bad mix. On the upside there are a lot of TV's and no bad view for NBA/NFL. On the downside they don't do boxing or UFC events and seem clueless about either.

If you ever have trouble with cop security at a bar in NJ call the New Jersey Attorney General's office. You'll never get justice from Woodbridge PD about a situation in a Woodbridge bar that's owned by Woodbridge cops. Take it a step higher where someone will actually listen. |

|
Hey don't bitch about the Woodbridge cops. They are the only ones who care enough to support our local Indian community by going regularly to Dunkin Donuts! How you ever seen a more obese bunch than the Woodbridge PD?
