familys in need for christmas

I am a mom of four children who are every thing to me. I just lost my job in may do to medical problems.I am waiting on a responce from ssi to see if i am approved for help.They told me that it takes up to 5 months to 2 years for a desision. I am scared for my kids because i have always worked and even thow i work my money was very little i alway did for my kids on my own. My kids told me mom we dont need any thing for christmas all we need is to stay togerther. my kids are my life they are the reson i wake up every morning. my kids still beleave in santa and i dont want my kids to think they did any thing wrong if they wake up on christmas morning and see nothing under the tree.It breaks my heart to know i cant do for your kids. they would be greatful for even one thing each, that is why my kids are so speacial to me. I have been throught so many things in my life,that i dont want my kids to go throw. We just got my house lest than a year ago, i have live in shealters on the street and now we have a home to live in,but i am scared of what will happen to us now that i am unable to work thank god i am on section 8 and i have a good landlord or i would be on the streets again. please help me give my kids a christmas. if you need to know anny thing else feel free to contact me by email. i check it every two days at the libary.

Just tell your children the truth. Tell them that Santa is not real. In fact, christmas isn't even christian. Everything about it is a lie. You kids are stronger than you give them credit for. I'm sorry that things aren't going well for you! Times are real hard right now. It's just like the Bible said it would be in the "last days" right before the Creator brings about better condition for mankind. Luke 21:31, 32: "When you see these things occurring, know that the kingdom of God is near."

Ok you my be able to tell you kids that santa isn't real but My kid are still little and in do time they will know santa isn't real but I am not going to break my childrens hearts and dreams and hopes of santa coming. I will do it on my own or have help from some where but for me to say that to my kids i can't. When a child beleaves in some thing with there heart it is not right to just rip it away from them just because times are hard. GOD says to have faith in miricals and I have faith that things will be ok, with or with out help of others.

have you tried to get state aid?

WOW ,I never even thought of beggin this way.
Shoot this would be easier to sucker someone than to stand out at wal-mart and hold a bogus sign saying I'll work for food,plus you don't face near as much humiliation hiding behind a computer.
Who in their right mind would come on to topix trying to play on peoples sympathy?
Boo Hoo get in line at the salvation army and food banks like all us other poe people,we have kids too, but we'll make due without moochin.

I am a mom who worked all her life and never had to ask for anything in my life, I worked my way up from the bottom up and it is not a scam to ask for help, I am not asking for money I was asking for help with gifts for kids not to pay my bills or stuff like that but for my kids. So you tell me how much can a person get for toys seeings thats what i am asking for not money or cars or a house or even some one to pay my rent but toys for 4 little helpless kids how dont deserve to be with out on the most happyest day for them CHRISTMAS. Have you asked your family of friends to help you. You might offer to for example - clean their house in exchange for one or two gifts. etc.

No sympathy here either, the happiest day for them should be when you quit having kids you can't afford and teach them responsibility times are tough all over perhaps you should have just swallowed.lol

To responded to TREE I dont have family at all MY mom is disabled and so is my dad I do for them all the time because they are dont have anyone to help them and are living of there very small income and i wouldnt ask them for anything due to there issues. But thank youfor the suggestion. there are many people out there who have really nasty things to say about a mother in need of help, but one day they are going to be in need of some ones help and they are going to respond the same way they responded to others in need. I am not looking to scame anyone, I am not look to use anyone, please if anyone has any comments that are unfriendly or sarcastic remarks please keep them to your self. My mom always told me if you dont have anything nice to say dont say any thing at all. I live by this phrase what don't kill me will only make me stronger.My kids are as strong as me and it wont kill them to be with out but it would be nice to have at least one thing for them. We all are here to DO GOOD..FIGHT EVIL, not do nothing while repeating Bible verses. This woman is having a hard time. Her children are suffering. Can you help? If you are not capable, then offer moral support, but do not make make matters worse by using Bible verses like a dagger.
If you think you are a better Christian for what you said to the poor lady, think again.
Help her or be quiet!

I hope you are wrong but in these times every situation should be checked out before "helping out".

Our country is in the state it's in because of GREED. If people at the low end of the wage scale could go to work and make a LIVING WAGE, rather than a competitive wage(in competition with slave labor country and illegal immigrant US workers), people could afford healthcare and food.
At the same time, public assistance rolls would drop significantly and our taxes, by rights, should decrease (Government corruption and greed would prevent this)
So it's all about corporate interests which are about GREED. Same goes for the government.
Companies DO have the money. It's just that execs take an unfair share of gross profits for themselves which, of course, leave very little for the peanut butter stocker.

If you really want to know the ethics of a company, just imagine what it would pay its low end employees if there was no Minimum Wage laws.

FIGHT FOR LIVING WAGE LEGISLATION!!!

So as a christian you are saying it is out of line to try and encourage a person spiritually and remind them that God is aware of her circumstances. Why is reminding this woman that God very soon will make life better for us all not a good thing to do. How is that a dagger. If you think man-made government will ever solve our problems then you have not studied what the Bible says.

If this is true,it is sad for the children.Where is the father?The father is never around.There is no reason in the world why people cannot work.I have seen a young man with a missing arm working,even a blind man I know of was doing some kind of work.Yes,the economy is very bad but there is no reason not to work.If you can have sex,there isn't much wrong with you.The woman buying my home whines she cannot work b/c of arthritis reason.She just "BOUGHT" my home and makes 14,000 a yr doing nothing.I saw her husband at closing but b/c of being a first time buyer she is getting the 8,000 bucks as well.

ok i have an education I LOST MY JOB DUE TO HELP PROBLEMS. If i could work i would and i wouldnt have to listen to people like you say nasty things to me. I have worked everyday since I was 14 years old. The father of my kids is a died beat dad who only cares a bout his 15 girl friends. I am a serviver of abuse and every thing else you could emagin. Do you think if i could get help from churches witch i have applyed but are no longer taking applacations. I would be on here asking people for help. No i wish I could work and do what every normal family does but i can't because of my illness.
