Very sad that this man lost his life. Even sadder that it could have been easily (and cheaply) prevented with a set of sensors that would have raised the door once it sensed there was something in the way.

Did I mention anything about my wanting government to mandate this or that? I agree they need to stay out of everyone's business. I just wonder why jackazzes like yourself and Karl Marx Dayton have to make this a political issue when this clearly has nothing to do with politics? What is clear to me is you are only looking for a reason to b-itch about something, and politics is something you like to pretend to know something about. Better find a new hobby.

Any Tom, Dick or Jane could install these themselves, or even have someone install them, with no guidance from the feds. It's a common sense safety measure. Might have given himself a lot more time with his family. I bet they'd rather have it that way.
