Dont_like_Iversen wrote: GOOD! I went there to check out a used car they had in some classifieds and I was treated like I was a disease. They ask you what your looking for, if you are looking for a used auto, you stand around like a jack@$$ and no one will help you out. Then they finally decided to help me out but gave me the up sale talk. I took my business else where to a private seller as dealerships are bad but Iversen is the worst. Good to see their closing, thats what happens when you treat people like garbage. So true, I went in there a few years back to buy my son a used car. I also was looking for a New car for my wife and another used car for my other son. But the salesman walked away from me assuming I was only looking for a used car, left me waiting, sent me to another guy and took the young girl at the door looking for a new car. He could have sold 1 new and 2 used cars and he blew it. I left and bought them all from Acton Ford..........

Anyone who has sold cars at a new car dealership knows that there's much better commissions selling used cars than new ones. Used cars are marked up more than new ones, and the competition in selling new cars means for a lot of cars, the salesman will get the house minimum commission, which is peanuts. The only exception is if you came in holding the latest newspaper ad. The "ad car" is usually beat up and unattractive. The advertised price is really low. The ad is to get you onto the lot. Once you see what a sorry vehicle the ad car is, the salesman will try to upgrade you to a higher priced vehicle. The only reason it isn't "bait and switch" is that the ad car really is in the inventory, and if you insist, they will sell it to you.

I was in K Mart last week, and the minute one walks into the front entrance of the Mall it SMELLS musty...and like mold. The Town of Billerica officials know about this but NOTHING ever gets done. It is punishment for beating down the orange giant.... Sorry KMart and Burlington Coat along with other storefronts still there. Oh but EXCEPT for MA's Dry nothing... our fine KB selectman who used to sit with the Home Depot lawyer ran for selectman figuring he was going to get his palm greased...like the other two idiots back on the board J & J.... Thanks for making Billerica a low life town again... Billerica was, is, and always will be a low life town.

Remember that wonderful 1950's adage: "As goes GM so goes the country". It was so comforting in those days. Unfortunately we now know how true it is. When you make millions of cars and loose 12B a year, you've got management problems.

Does anyone know the history of this dealership? I have a 68 Mustang and on the original window sticker it was sold at Pierce Ford in Billerica. Ford records show April 30, 1968 Did Pierce become Iversen or was there others between?

I believe it moved to the "Iversen Ford" location; then became Munro Ford, before Iversen took over the reins.

I believe it moved to the "Iversen Ford" location; then became Munro Ford, before Iversen took over the reins. Hi Michael, Very interesting. Just eat at Mangia on Thursday when seeing my sister in Concord MA. How could I find out when Pierce moved. Is there a Billerica historical or newspaper I could contact? As a hobby I have a few old cars and I bought this Mustang in Oklahoma and found out it was originally sold in Billerica. Most old cars just have a code for the sales district but Ford saved the windo sticker records from 1968. I just thought it would be fun to see the building the car was first sold from so when in MA last week I went over to Billerica. The Ford paper work only says Pierce Ford on "Boston Road" - no street number. I saw the Iversen building last week but didn't know if Preice was there in April 1968. By the way this Mustang had a Burt Chevrolet Denver CO sticker on the back and it was near Oklahoma City OK since early 1980s until I bought it on ebay couple years ago. I live in Minnesota. I appreciated you getting back to me. Thanks Jim
