When we consider Wittmann's business area most will say it includes; Halley’s Market, The Post Office and it's neighboring pizza place and grocer, the Wittmann Baptist Church, Saguaro Jane’s Activity Center, the Nadaberg School and then a jog down Grand to Welch's Garage, to include the two fire stations one of which is located off Patton Road near the CAP Canal. The question I have...Should the Wittmann business area now include the newly established Track-Side Sports Bar and Grill, located near the communications tower off of Grand? Having opened its doors weeks ago, I am curious to see what people had to say after stopping in to pull a chair up and eat? My best source of information is always you. So if you have had the opportunity to check out the eatery and sports bar, let your neighbors know how the establishment rates. As well is this something to be SURPRISED about, or does the Proprietor claim the venture as a part of Wittmann?

My daughter and son in law says the place is o.k. but have not perfected the food aspect of it yet. A friend then visited it and said the same thing. I was quite surprised to find that Well's Market has fairly good food in their deli. A little over priced, but not bad. I'm just guessing that tax revenue goes to Surprise.

I stopped in the Trackside Sunday Afternoon and it is properly a site for sore eyes. I had the Mushroom-Swiss burger with hot-wings for openers and watched a bit of football. The food was great! The atmosphere said "come and get it"! Two pool tables and dart machines with sitting areas up the stairs had the right attitude for a little R & R. Unique to the bone! As we pulled in the parking lot and parked, we noticed two horses, saddled and tied off to the hitching post, their riders were straddled to a bar stool having a cool one with their spurs jingling. On the other side of the drive an ATV pulled in after a ride across the desert. Our waitress kept our drinks full and told us that to go orders could be called in, as well as delivery...delivery in Wittmann? Trackside Sports Bar and Grill, held a mix of customers. A cowhand, a biker, a father out with the kids, 2 curious retired couples and a handful of locals were bellied up to the bar. The joint provides an unbelievable 24 - 42" HD Flat Screen TVs, along with a juke box. I kept expecting Toby Keith to walk in singing "I love this bar" at any moment. Located just off Grand and 193rd,(less than a mile from Speedworld) come super bowl weekend I suspect the place will be rockin'.

Sounds like you might be owner, or part owner of the joint.

I wish! Questions ramble in my mind, as to how the business loan got approved, how they worked permits through the county. To build an establishment in Wittmann of this respect, takes some bucks. I am pleased it's here and I think it will be good for locals. I hope it encourages other businesses to build outside Surprise City limits and in to Wittmann, the more established, the better. It causes Surprise to reconsider it's land run.

At first I couldn't help but wonder why, the first new establishment in Wittmann, just had to be a bar.
And then I realized, of course, it's because 99% of the people who live in Wittmann are drunks, myself being the 1% who is not.

I do not care for people who use and abuse alcohol, so please do yourself and me a favor, when you leave this place in a state of drunkenness, and you will, head southeast on grand avenue, not west on Patton Rd.

You never know, I just may be the deputy lying in wait for you, and I will show you no mercy.

Gees, I am beginning to think someone changed their identity. You won't have to worry about me leaving the eatery in a manner which would deem me unfit to walk or drive. If you consider Applebee's, Street's of New York Pizza or similar establishments in Surprise to be a bar, then that's what you'll find at Wittmann's sport's bar. It is good to hear that you describe yourself as 1% of Wittmann's citizen. Shows the crackdown on homesteading Sheriff Joe, has been promoting is working. It is always nice to meet and exchange war stories with our fine men and women in law enforcement, they do a great job! Really you should give yourself a treat and grab a burger and fry's, you might find things are not as gloomy as they appear.

I too have been to the new Trackside Bar & Grill. The food is good and at a very reasonable price. I do not drink and noticed that most of the people there were for the food rather than the spirits. My concern is however, drinking or not, is getting back on Grand Avenue going west. It is a difficult task. Someone better consider seriously putting up traffic lights before someone gets killed.

I agree with you on the traffic issue. Hopefully anyone reading this will consider taking the time to drive down to Jomax and attempt a left turn from that vantage point, still a sticky task but it does give you a better shot at getting across than at the tower. We all know that getting a traffic signal may be a lengthy process.

That place scares me--is there a single window in the whole building? From the road it looks like the kind of place you might never walk out of alive. But I was majorly impressed by the ad/delivery menu that was stuck to my mailbox this afternoon. Delivery in Wittmann, yeow. And they have calamari, even! What an odd, odd establishment (or so it seems).

Now if only the delivery drivers would double as animal control officers...

The place is very much tame. The decor on the inside helps explain the lack of windows, where the windows were intended a HD-TV is in its place. There is a lot of fire department gear inside so I wouldn't worry about walking out alive. The burgers are hefty, so bloating may be a concern. :)

Jerkennob & Someone~

EXCUSE ME??? Im far from a Tweeker as you put it & Im far from a Drunk! I speak for the 4 people who live in my house ~ 2 of which are kids. Not to mention....

That goes for about 3000+ people that live out here minus the few Hells Angels that live out here & some others.

The 3000+ of us out here, have jobs, a nice house, nice cars or trucks, toys, trailers, toy haulers, land, kids, & real lives. We spend at least 25 mins a day commuting one way to work, grocery stores, dr appts, & so on.

As for Trackside, it was put there because of Speedworld so lets get that straight right now.
Speedworld has stuff almost every night & quite a huge crowd has grown since being aired on the show "Pinks"!
So the owner of Trackside put a bar & grill. Sounds smart to me. You know he's probably making a killing after Speedworld ends.:)
Jealous?

I can honestly say that the TrackSide Sports Bar & Grill is Wittmann's best Sports Bar! It is rated in the Top 1's of bars in Wittmann. Yes it is a great place; you won't find another bar in Wittmann that has service comparable to that of Track Side’s. It is the only specifically designed eatery that is opened for both lunch and dinner in town. It ranks in the top 1, for safety. In case a fire should erupt patrons can simply grab fire gear off the wall and begin fighting it. In all honesty visiting for lunch or dinner will be memorable experience.
