They've been "building" that theater for 3 years now. I'll believe it when it shows up.

It would be really cool if they added a movie theatre!! That would definitely attract a lot of foot traffic! Some other things like ice skating, laser tag,(fun activities)etc... would be awesome as well! And some more restaurants!

Posneer Park under construction right now. What is going in there? Rumor has it its a casino being build. I can't confirm or deny it. Any ideas?

A movie theater and Kirklands, Bath and Body works, Bed Bath and beyond and some good chain rest. I would just like to know when are they going to start building it up again and finish it. I think the small stores would rent if we had something to attract customers there.
Also what is the new overpass going to ? Is it an exit off I-4 and into Posner ? I heard it was going over to 17/92 also. Is any of this true ?

Would be a really useful site for regular tourists like us (2 yearly) so we know what is on site.

In my opinion, I see Posner park as a failure and I predict more stores will close within the next 2-3 years. I am not trying to being negative, but realistic. The majority of these stores are your typical chain stores that are found everywhere. These "typical" chain stores are found at many locations in Orlando/Kissimmee, Tampa, and nearby Lakeland. Posner Park has no drawing power for anyone to drive here from those areas. The location is great near the I-4/US 27 interchange, but again only residents who live in nearby Davenport, Haines City, some Winter Haven/Lake Wales residents. Residents of Winter Haven/Lake Wales may drive to Posner to shop Target or Best Buy, but stores like JCPenney and Belk can be found closer to Lake Wales/Winter Haven. Already, Belk at Posner Park has closed which indicates a potential failure with this shopping complex. The few times I have shopped at Posner, the parking lots of empty as well as the stores. Also, as I have seen in thread, lack of good restaurants at Posner and cinema is also another problem with this shopping center.

I am moving to Winter Haven in a few months, I think Posner Park should take a look at Waterford Lakes Mall in East Orlando. Waterford Lakes has plenty of shops, resturants and a movie theater. It's perfect for teens to hangout and families to spend time together. It has always been my favorite place to shop in orlando. If Posner Park would become anything close to Waterford Lakes that would be amazing. It would create a ton of jobs and be very profitable for the retailers. Hopefully someone would read this and consider looking into duplicating Waterford Lakes Mall.

How does a specialty frozen yogurt store that also includes smoothie's and cupcakes sound?

I don't know about anyone else, but I' d rather have an Olive Garden. They have a much better quality and their service is supurb! Go Winter Haven Olive Garden!!!

I am wishing for a Costco, Home Depot and theater. That would draw everyone! Still like to shop there, so easy for us to get to and from. Nice restaurants would be good too. They have added a furniture store, a couple small restaurants, shoe store, beauty supplies, and a wine taste shop. Also an ice cream..not sure of the name but the one made like an ice cream cone. It is slowly building and try to shop these stores before going else where. Want the shopping to stay for us folks in the area!

I will like to see a movie theater, more restaurants and Kohl's, Bealls, Sears.

The JCPenney Optical is open since the end of Sept. It is beautiful! It is in the back of the store by childrens.I bought a pair of glasses for $69 and got prescription sunglasses with free lens for $99. They even have a doctor. However, I already had a script from my eye doctor.

The Best Buy there is a great place to shop electronics. Very courteous, knowledgable, and helpful employees.
