Please Help Stop a Cyber-Bully!

I am writing because a person we both know, David Latham, is in dire need of help. David has lived here in Libby for years, and many know him as editor of the Montanian. I don’t want to make to make trouble for myself or wind up in his newspaper, but after what I’ve stumbled across I can’t stay quiet.
A couple months back, when I was looking for cheap ways to advertise a church fundraiser, I saw an internet website called Topix that has pages for all these little bitty Montana towns. I got curious and started reading through the stuff people posted about Libby. I recognized the name Mike Crill as someone I knew from way back.
Mike, his dad, his father-in-law, and I guess even his kids got lung disease from the Grace mine. Mike was posting lots of stuff about asbestosis, meso, and the danger of living in Libby, especially for children. What really caught my eye were all the mean-spirited, downright cruel remarks that people were making about Mike, right there on the same forum.
Stuff like,“he lost the lawsuit........he treated his own children badly…....they foreclosed on his 5 acres…...he is already dying…….…he is border line retarded….…he has lost every job he has ever had…..he is now a welfare bum…...his life is pathetic....he has now been officially diagnosed as being mentally challennged....MOVE TO MONTANA........FIX MIKEY CRILL....poor LIL MIKEY CRILL
This is a pretty meek example. As I read through hundreds of exchanges, I started to see that lots of the comments by a whole bunch of different posters said pretty much the same things. Some of the names of the attackers are All of Us in Libby, Big Bill Sullivan, Mikeys Gremlin, Helloitsme, Donald Crease, The Hat, Jar of Vomit, and Toejam Balcheeze. Many list their location as California – San Ramon, Half Moon Bay – near where David Latham grew up.
One guy posted:“Libby Kills Kids (Mike Crill) is a psychotic mental midget whose stench smells of rotting pork and heavily loaded baby diapers stewed in urine. The strangulation with a rusty piece of wire cannot come soon enough.”
Another said,“This crill is about the most ignorant person I have ever heard of. Judging by posts on this board, he smells sour too. I have heard that crillhouse smells of formaldehyde, rotting stacks of underwear worn for 10 days by crill and goat urine. Crill also eats the dead Libby babies.”
These and hundreds of other violent, cruel assaults on Mike on Libby Topix.com under dozens of alter egos are all written by David Latham.

This guy is still at it. It's a mystery why Libby puts up with him. For shame, David, for shame.
