Delhi, Louisiana Cheif Police Gregg McKinney can not be guilt of Criminal Proceeding Along. He could not target Black citizens, do to the fact that the citizens of Delhi, Louisiana claim the Police department unfairty target black citizens , not Cheif Gregg McKinney. Has anyone else in the Delhi, Louisiana Police department committed any crime? If so, why has not their name been public?==Oh Oh I know why the Cheif is White.

why not recall the total police department? they are the ones that the recall position state's target black citizens. who or whom will be in charge of the department. will they be the same ones that target black citizens? this is racism on the side of Black citizens.

Chief McKinney nor his officers are guilty of racial profiling. As has been stated earlier in the topic it is a simple fact of demographics. What does that mean? Let's take a look at the actual ratio of white to black citizens and those who are stopped or committing the crimes. The numbers are probably more preportional as one might suspect. Chief McKinney is white, and was elected into office by more than half the citizens in Delhi. Now, recall what I stated earlier about demographics. There are more black citizens in town then white ones. What does this mean? Many black citizens likely voted on him because they know him and know better than to think he is racially biased in anyway. If anything his department is fair and balanced. I researched this myself and would like to again discuss the demographics involved with their department.

He employs a greater number of African American officers than he does white officers. Beyond that the positions of Assitant Chief, Sergeant, Corporal and possibly more are all held by the black employees. When did these promotions occur? They all happen post-election when he recognized the officers for their hard work and sacrifices that had been made for the job.

The scrutiny of this Chief is ridiculous and political. If you have any doubt of that you likely have not researched the facts involved with any of this ordeal. I have studied up and know quite a bit about the subject.

Zack McDowell, ah yes, intresting you should bring his name up on this topic. I have a transcript of a town hall meeting where he can be quoted as saying "I don't see anything wrong with people going into the park just to smoke a little weed". I have a problem with this. He has a problem with Chief McKinney because of the crackdown on the drug ring that was so well publicized...

Take a look back and all these fact make perfect since.

And yes, if the town of Delhi loses this chief they are losing a lot. The town will again be allowed to overflow with narcotics and drugs. In addition to that he has made many personal sacrifices come to find out due to the job. He was elected knowing that it wasn't going to be an easy job, but he has done his best and my hat is off to him for being able to deal with all this drama and politically charged scrutiny that he has to face on a daily basis. If everywhere had a chief like him we would all be living in a safer place.

Where can I find, read, or see the transcript of the Delhi town meeting and the Quoted by Z.M. about anything WRONG with people going to the PARKS just to smoke a little WEED?? what date was the meeting??

Chief McKinney has been subject to the local TABLOIDS, subject to moronic discussions by people of low intelligence, and had to put up with scrutiny of the people who do not agree with someone who is not afraid to grab the bull by the horns. The people of Delhi were tired of being overrun by the violence, noise, drugs, and mischief in general that fell under the Carter regime. Chief McKinney has done nothing but try to make this town better and if you don't like it follow suit with "left delhi" and get the hell out. We don't need your type here if you want the type of person in office that will take impressional young minds home to parents who are also no interested in taking action against acts of mischief. I hope this carrys it's point all the way to Baton Rouge, and more importantly all across this small town of Delhi. Re-Elect Gregg McKinney if you want the drugs off the street. Remember that operation "street sweeper" was what made the streets of Delhi decent enough for the common man again... And not safe for the drug dealers and thugs that once called it home. Chief Carter should have applyed the Laws of Delhi and not took thems in his now hands. When kids were catch selling Drugs, instead of driving them home, Chief Carter should have applyed the Laws...Oh when Chief Mckinney applyed the Laws he was SET-UP by the people going to the Park to SMOKE A LITTLE WEED, and making EXCUSES for young men selling DRUGS for them...WE KNOW WHO AND WHOM THEY ARE..

If delhi is trying to clean up the streets, they need to start with the city council and the police dept. Off duty Female sergent for delhi physically fights with two officers on duty who was trying to arrest her nephew for resisting by flight and parole violations. She had to be pulled from the scene by state police officers. Chief Mckinney suspended her pending a special city council meeting. Once in meeting the council returned her to active duty with backpay for time off and no disciplinary actions even with written statements from many other officers on scene. Also another officer was suspended for stealing time from the town and having sexual intercourse while on duty. He was also suspended by chief but allowed to return to work with back pay by city council members. Explain this...............
