Has anyone heard who our newly appointed mayor is - they were supposed to be having a meeting last night I believe.

i heard last week they were going to appoint matt milam but havent heard anything since the metting last night

Matt Walton and he is going to run for the job when it comes up and he will get elected too. Everybody thinks he has done a great job on the council and would make a great mayor. He is the only one that has stood up against that Holden guy and that is a huge feather in his hat.

Matt will not take the job because he wont take pay cut.

yes it is a nice place but if you are down and can not do for yourself you are in for it( hell is what you will get) becouse they will not help and that is not right, it is the money they look for. workers will not do there job need to get off there ass and work. it has been two year but i know it has not got any better workers will not do there job i can not say that too many times

The Town Talk is also reporting that Winnfield doesn't have a mayor. Your information seems to be wrong.

Most of these city workers have bad attitudes and i hope with the head crook gone they'll try to improve. Getting them to do their job nearly impossible, and the ones that answer the phones at city hall are confrontational before they even know why you're calling. That should change. Hopefully.
