Tribes wish that the news papers would get their facts straight before publishing one sided stories.Allen Ambler says he the Winnemucca Indian Colony's Administrator but has no written membership signed by William Bills stating he's the Admin/nor a member.Allen Ambler was a member of Lovelock Tribe but then kicked out. That is sure strange.Mr.Bills admits he made a mistake hiring Mr.Ambler.Mr.Ambler was just an employee and that is all. Everyone knows he's done this to 6 Tribes including Winnemucca.Federal Officials know about this and now will acting on all the Documents that are being passed around on Allen Ambler.I guess his times has come.Allen Ambler Started in Washington,Oregon,California and three Tribes in Nevada.Lovelock Tribe his own,Fallon Tribe and then Winnemucca.Every Tribe should beware of his way of work, which no Tribe will have anything to do with him now.Sincerely,

The Winnemucca Indian Colony has a Smoke Shop on the Colony so who's benifiting from the profits? It sure isn't the Winnemucca Colony. The B.I.A should do there job and look into what's going at the Colony.Mr.Ambler and his family and friends are getting rich off of the Smoke Shop. Return of Colony back to the Shoshones. It is so sad that a Native person has to take advantage of their own people this way.As Native American Indians why do we have to betray our own people.A person like Mr.Ambler that betrays another NATIVE AMERICAN is a heartless person.

I just ran into this load of lies and propoganda. As a Tribal Council Chairman and Council Member for my tribe for the past 28 years, I have never seen a Tribal Leader accomplish so much for his Tribe as Allen Ambler. The Lovelock Tribe was a "joke" in competition with McDermitt for the bottom spot on the most unfunctional tribes in Nevada. In a matter of 2 or 3 years he took his Tribe to a position of leadership in the Inter Tribal Council of Nevada. As far as William Bills is concerned, he is full-blooded Filipino and was adopted by Ermon Bills when he was 16. His name is William Revelar Gutierez. He was a complete fraud. He approached Mr. Ambler in his position of the Nevada Indian Environmental Coalition to seek assistance in developing a Tribal Environmental Program. He did this as the Vice-Chairman of the Winnemucca Colony Council which he was at the time. The NIEC provided this service as they did for the majority of the tribes in Nevada. Mr. Bills committed fraud against the members of the Winnemucca Indian Colony. Mr. Ambler's only reason for his involvement with Winnemucca was to help them get some services. The Colony Council ruled by the Wassons for 9 years refused all Federal Funding and provided NO services for the Colony. The smoke shop funds were the sole income of the Wassons and Not the Colony or it's membership since they wouldn't enroll anyone. Someone should look into the facts of the Winnemucca Indian Colony before spewing their garbage.

You say "I just ran into this load of lies and propoganda."
Is the FBI investigation incident report full of lies concerning Allen Ambler? Amblers whole family is listed and I doubt the FBI made this up with addresses, dates ect.
For the last poster to say this is all lies and on the Tribal Council, I think you should rethink your position based on your lack on knowledge.
People know the truth Allen!

As for Mr. Bills, he's Pacific Islander /Hawiian, and with the BIA money you get for education you should go back to school. Adoption is legal per the colony's Bylaws and Ca and US Constitution. And for the Membership they are Ermon Bills family which is William Bills family and written signatures support him. Why don't you clean up your own mess because Mr. Bills cleaned up the colony with his own money for the first two years the Wasson's relocated him and his father in 1997. And for William Bills you need to spell and get your information from the Ca Vital dept which no one got permission and which was doctored. This letter states this from California. E.F. You need ask this question. Southern Ca Tribes that are Mexican, decendant from Aztec Mexico, they are Native. What's the difference Native is Native, being Pacific Islander which is now being reconized as a new Tribe or what. You calling your self Native American must mean Living on Welfare, Missing teeth, Living on a Dump Reservation, Drinking & doing drugs. At Least Mr. Bills Started Cleaning up the Colony and got rid of the Drug dealing. The Wasson's let this go for so long they asked for his help. Mr. Bills did his request. Bills family were born on the Colony and records show with the County Records, The Wassons took the 1916 Relocation Buyout and check their records where they were Born. The bay area of California. They even filed for the Paiute Claims as the Pauite Nation like calling themselves the Shoshone Nation. So until you wana be leaders get you story and Facts straight use your tax payer dollars and BIA money and fix your own problems, Teeth, etc. E.F. Howard

Well, the Ayers think they can take over. They took over the land, filled it with nasty beat up cars and drugs. Linda Ayer is the self-proclaimed Chairwoman. What could she possibly be doing at the Tribal Building at all hours of the night? I'm sure this colony has a huge agenda (*sarcasm*). I heard last year there wasn't a Christmas party because the Ayers used the money to take their family on a vacation to Hawaii. I hear people are supposed to go to court to get things figured out. The people seem to know about Allen's antics. Everyone seems to be depending on Bill Bills to come back. My grandma is really hoping for his return, but sadly, I don't think it is going to happen, and it would be great if he did because this place is so impoverished (haha is that a word?) My grandma's story seems to match winnepa's, so obviously you know something. I want colony to be running (the right way!) and get us all new houses. Believe me, I would take on the job, but who the hell is going to listen to a 17 year old? I mean, I want to go to college and all, possibly study the law, but in the mean time, I would like to know the qualifications for a chairperson and what are some legal actions we can take, and is William Bills really going to "save the day"? Sorry if I'm just rambling.

Your right I live there. William Bills won his law suite from the wrongful arrest and others and has 30 Million of his own money to takecare of Winnemucca and the people not only it's enrolled members but for all. He just wanted to make it nice like he did when he lived there before cleanning up the place. But there is always someone not happy. The no-happy one aren't even members at Winnemucca but other places. I was Born on the Colony and are kin of the Bless, Blossoms, Sopes & Bill family. Watchout everyone Mr.Bill has Notorized Signatures from his whole family even from the children to take charge. These people are direct from Winnemucca Indian Colony.Mr. Bill has also using his own Allotted monies from his Oil Deals that on his property that he got from his Adopted dad. These other Tribal members and Tribes just need to worry about their own Tribe and if they don't like it they should get thier own members off the Winnemucca Colony. They can't even takecare of thier own members. Mr. Bill has given no-member Holiday Turkeys & Hams that thier own Tribe should do for them. Anyway. I am full Blooded Shoshone and Speak our language. Listen to your Grandmother I live there. Mr. Bill will help her. E.F.Howard
