Lake Elmo Resident

The Met. Council,(i.e. some politicos who are buddies of the Governor and do what they are told to do by the Governor and his preferred lobbiests), does not control Lake Elmo. The "17,000" new residents -- 13,000 new jobs -- are little more than the dream of a few land speculators and the Met Council's sewer managers. Public sewer was grossly ove-built by the Met Council which is now scrambling to load the 1/2 empty pipes in the Suburbs and in the inner cities were jobs and people have fled for quality of life issues highlighted dayly by the newpaper. When the Governor's term is up, his cronies on the Met Council will be gone, and Lake Elmo, and indeed all cities and towns in the restricted 7 County Metro area could be given back the freedom all Americans expect as being part of the United States and not some 3rd world dictatorship.

You really think his absence will lead to MORE freedom in LE? Wow, that's nuts.

Rather important observation for the Press writer. Messelt will not be a City Manager, but rather a City Administrator. There are both legal and substanative differences between the titles. Then, Impact Fees remain illegal in Minnesota - pretty well limited to Prop 13-challenged California. Finally, "Lake Elmo Resident" is right on the money regarding the Met Council - except the reason for the policy slop they peddle: It's the Met Council staff (the inmates) that run the Met Council (the asylum) regardless of who sits in the Givernor's (or Met Council Chair's) chair.

Yah, yah, yah, it's "governor", not "givernor". Danno, I wouldn't say "Lake Elmo Resident" is "nuts". More like, perhaps looking at the wrong culprit(s)?

You couldn't have selected a better city manager. I've had work interactions with Bruce and he's just an all around good man.

The spinless Lake Elmo City Council and self centered residents of Lake Elmo will run this guy out in two years. Just like the last 5 or 6 of them.
He has no idea...
