Kitty Kat, Jerry is a good guy he hasn't yet figured out two things 1) The Met prospects are good ones. 2) GM's are looking to raid the minors of all good prospects for one stinking pitcher. They can all take two and go to right as far as I'm concerned. It seems that 3 out of 5 pitching prospects we traded last season wound up on MLB rosters. Bell is not a prospect anymore and he did well. GM's devaluated our players because the want quality and quantity you can't have both.

I agree with you there! Arent we seeing this trend that it takes Quantity to get Quality? GMs are sitting in offices saying hey guys...lets trade 6 players, 1 yrs worth of lawn mowing, 4 rival team fans, our first born and season tickets for 1 player!

HA! Funny, "....the rest of the majors does". That's why I think the other GM's are full of it that the Mets prospects aren't that good....unless they got rid of all the good ones last year already.. Mut fans do...they think the Yanks cheated in the 2000 world series vs.Muts.Jealousy once again,Yankees blew away the Mets 4 games to 1.You think back...maybe if Timo Perez kept running around the bases he might have scored,but he didn't,he didn't even slow down,he stopped!!! to watch Todd Zeile's shot of the wall,than got thrown out on the play to end that inning.Hmmm... makes you wonder what Timo Perez was on!!!!!!!!!!

RC, I heard something about a month ago on the Fan. It seems that MLB has a salary cap guideline for signing draft picks. The Mets follow this bonus and salary guideline,(except in Pelfry's case) as if it were a rule while the rest of the majors don't. I heard it said that Omar has had enough of the bull and he too will throw out the guidelines from now on it's no holds barred. Took long enough.

Dykstra was a squirt on the Mets and started juicing on the Phillies when his body and numbers blew up...its the same thing with Clemens and Bonds its very obvious where they began juicing..Baroid 49 HR's to 73.. Clemens in 98 6-6 and having problems, does juice and goes 14-0 and wins CY young...these numbers speak for themselves.......just like Canseco's 40-40 year..

Hello.....regardless of how your previous season played out...(yeah yeah METS collapsed..Yankees choked)! Both teams are still opening new stadiums in 2009! It was ineveitable that ticket prices would go up for the last seasons in their respective current stadiums! Come on...last year that Shea is still open? How many people want to be able to go to one more season at Shea!

Bonds stayed on the juice for years,pettite did it in 2002 on the disabled list for an injury and clemens the same,dont even put them in the same category!
