They can all take two and go to right as far as I'm concerned. It seems that 3 out of 5 pitching prospects we traded last season wound up on MLB rosters. Bell is not a prospect anymore and he did well. GM's devaluated our players because the want quality and quantity you can't have both.

Arent we seeing this trend that it takes Quantity to get Quality? GMs are sitting in offices saying hey guys...lets trade 6 players, 1 yrs worth of lawn mowing, 4 rival team fans, our first born and season tickets for 1 player!

I think it is a possibility that with Bannister, Lindstrom, Bell(performing for a good pitching coach that believes he has enough for one inning and not Peterson who would try to re-invent the wheel),Owens all performing well on their respective teams quite possibly Omar wants to trust his farm and why not the rest of the majors does. HA! Funny, "....the rest of the majors does". That's why I think the other GM's are full of it that the Mets prospects aren't that good....unless they got rid of all the good ones last year already.. Hang tight Omar. No quick fixes (because you messed up so bad last year the team is beyond a quick fix anyway). Put the pressure on the scouts and development people and lets see if what we got is a future or not. Even if it doesn't work out it's still better than watching Act II of The Geritol Squad.

Yankee fans were in here spewing the BS that there would be more METS than Yanks so thus the outrage! Good to see one of you recognize this a MLB issue not a METS vs. Yankees issue! Of course Mut fans they want to accuse Yankee fans of "cheating" at their dynasty of winning 4 world championships in 5 years{96-00}because the Muts never even won back to back titles needless to say dynasty. In the Muts on 2 championship teams ever;69 they had some BUMS Cleon Jones and Tommie Agee.In 86 Wally Backman, beating up his wife also troubles with the law,oh and a really nice guy buy the way.Roid users Lenny Dykstra, and Kevin Mitchell,But no cheating here. The only thing "amazing" about the Muts is,they have jealous fans, want to take away from the Yanks, but don't want to look at their own mess.If the Yankee fans want to taint the Muts titles they would have NONE,So Mut fans be careful what you say,Yanks won 26 world championships,Muts only a deuce ouch...

It seems that MLB has a salary cap guideline for signing draft picks. The Mets follow this bonus and salary guideline,(except in Pelfry's case) as if it were a rule while the rest of the majors don't. I heard it said that Omar has had enough of the bull and he too will throw out the guidelines from now on it's no holds barred. Took long enough.

Yeah and maybe if you didn't have two starters and a middle reliever all juiced up the outcome would have been different... thats not jealousy thats anger over being beaten by cheaters..... and keep denying Rogroid and you'll be headed to the big housee with your pal Baroid Bonds PAUL wrote: <quoted text>Mut fans do...they think the Yanks cheated in the 2000 world series vs.Muts.Jealousy once again,Yankees blew away the Mets 4 games to 1.You think back...maybe if Timo Perez kept running around the bases he might have scored, but he didn't,he didn't even slow down,he stopped!!! to watch Todd Zeile's shot of the wall, than got thrown out on the play to end that inning.Hmmm... makes you wonder what Timo Perez was on!!!!!!!!!!

LYAO at that! wrong, the truth is your jealous of the Yankees dynasty 1996-into 2008 still going, pettite did it in 2002 for an injury just like clemens also did,not to gain a competetive edge, stop looking for excuses, hairball 26-2!

Dykstra was a squirt on the Mets and started juicing on the Phillies when his body and numbers blew up...its the same thing with Clemens and Bonds its very obvious where they began juicing..Baroid 49 HR's to 73.. Clemens in 98 6-6 and having problems, does juice and goes 14-0 and wins CY young...these numbers speak for themselves.......just like Canseco's 40-40 year.. Old School Mets Fans wrote: <quoted text> You mean like the two titles the Yankees won between 1962 and 1996; that's 34 years. As of 1996, the Yankees had won 3 titles and the Mets 2. Yankees had a great run, but now its 8 years and counting. Don't worry, lots of teams win with three rookie starters and 38 year old closers. as of 1996 3-2? you dope, try as of 1996 22-2,now 26-2 and after 2008 27-2,it just keeps getting worse for melt fans!

Well low and behold who also is raising ticket prices? Could it be the Stankees? Hello.....regardless of how your previous season played out...(yeah yeah METS collapsed..Yankees choked)! Both teams are still opening new stadiums in 2009! It was ineveitable that ticket prices would go up for the last seasons in their respective current stadiums! Come on...last year that Shea is still open? How many people want to be able to go to one more season at Shea! http://www.newsday.com/sports/baseball/mets/n...
