Nutria are large rodents that look like beavers with long, thin tails. Are they sure about this. From the description, they sound like we should know them well. They taste like chicken. I have eaten them and they're tasty. Serve them up.
Maybe the Game commission should start promoting them as good eats.

Any relation to Nutri-system?

VDGIF and Wet lands management should aanounce the areas where Nutria are problems and put a $ bounty on the nusiance animals. Societies building and expansion is not stopping. Our eco systems are more fragile than ever.

Let the VDGIF find a way to draw the animals into bow and arrow range and the outdoorsmen/women can help maintain the population.

You know the people in Louisiana eat them.

In Louisiana they put a bounty on them and trappers catch plenty. Too many invasive species are destroying the ecosystem.

This is a very nasty animal. It's not dirty or anything like that, but they can eat their way through an entire shoreline in no time. In Louisiana and the south, they have gotten so out of control, they are messing with the natural order of the watershed there. The Game and Fish in Va have to get in front of this quick.

Can they be taught to fight each other? I will get rid of them!

I saw these animals two years ago and they are just now getting attention? They've already invaded ponds in the middle of Hampton. They had to have been on the outskirts a while before that.
