What does it matter it's the Suffolk Sheriff's son? Was the Sheriff driving drunk?

dont worry. The officers will be encouraged not to appear and the charges will be dropped from lack of evidence. this is only one of the possibilities. Another is that he will never see a day in court because the prosecutor will not find any merit in prosecuting the sheriff's family member. Just be thankful noone was killed.

I agree, but they should be posted on the front page.

The son represents the father. Did your parents not teach you that when you were a child? I taught my sons when they leave the home they represent me. It's called family. It's called respect. It has been lost as a family value.

JUST LIKE THEY DO THE MOVIE STARS,,,WHEN THEY DO SOMETHING WRONG. THEY MOST THEIR MUG ALL ON THE INTERNET AND IN THE NEWS. WHY DON'T THE PO-PO, DO THAT. IN FACT WHY DON'T THE JUDGE ORDER THIS. While I 100% agree on prosecuting the case and all, did anyone else catch the fact that he wrecked his vehicle trying to avoid a RED-LIGHT RUNNER?

Had Raleigh Jr. not been Driving Under the Influence, he would have had better reflexes to avoid plowing into a quaint and cute building.

He was 40 something years old. I teach my son the same but what can this guy do about an adult. You're simple.

Very good point and I agree with you fully. My point was, would he have been charged if it was just a routine stop and he had not caused all of that damage? Not making excuses, but how many times have I been pushed off the road by bad drivers.... there may not have ben anywhere to go other than the building...
