On Thursday evening 5/28/09 the homeowner had friends visiting on the back porch that you see in the video when bullets started hitting the trees around them and the building next to them. The homeowner called the sheriffs department. They found 1 bullet stuck in the heavy vinyl of the window. The Geauga Sheriffs department has that bullet. They found another one later which the homeowner still has. Ralph from Great Lakes knows all of this and knows where the bullets came from. The Bainbridge Police department was practicing with machine guns on the shooting range at that time. How can Ralph say that no bullets were found?

I am going to guess the problem with the neiboors boils down to the noise not bullets. I know I would not like to hear gunshots all day. Middlefield in unzoned and the owner can do whatever he likes that is the american way. I dont like the horse manure that destroys my car paint either, but its the american way. I have an idea lets try to make sure those stray bullets kill all the amish horses in the area then everybody could be happy....except for the noise :)
Hey Joe if you don't like the horse manure, then don't come to Middlefield. your problem solved. freedom of choice that's the American way!

''d like to say to the cop who lied on National TV, that you're supposed to uphold the law. Does this show that you can't be trusted? If you can't hit the target, then maybe the range should be moved elsewhere, so innocent people aren't at risk. Guess it's okay, because they're Amish, huh? And to Joe in Chardon: You live in an Uppity town that supposedly has all you need, so what makes you want to come to little Middlefield, anyway? You don't mind the Amish shopping in Chardon and spending money. They pay taxes, just like you, and then some. You proved one point: America is free, because they let ignorant people like you run free. By the way your comment about the horses could be taken as a threat.

Hey Alan I live in Middlefield! Kind of hard to not come home. I guess you would not have a problem with my letting my car leak gallons of oil on the public roads? After all if you don't like it you don't have to come to Middlefield! Or hell why don't I just start taking the garbage from my house and throw it out the windows of my car on the way to work? If you don't like it get out and pick it up. Or better yet don't come to Middlfield.
If you want to argue at least use some logic.

My comment about the horses was a joke you would know that if you were not such a jerk. I live in Middlefield not Chardon they got that town because of the ip address of the computer i used. And as far as taxes go....no they dont pay the same taxes as us you and I. that is my point. They do not have to buy license plates for their buggies and those taxes go directly to repair the township roads that the buggies drive on. your comment they pay taxes and then some suggests that they pay more taxes than the average person. That is not true. I just love it you novelty people say if I dont like the manure/ safety hazards that buggies cause, dont drive in Middlfield but If you dont like the bullets get rid of the person causing the problem/saftey hazards. You are the ignorant one as your logic proves.

Joe,
Unlike you I did some investigating on the taxes the Amish pay. What I found is that about 5 years ago the Amish VOLUNTARILY started a fund where they contribute $25.00 per vehicle that they own to this fund. It is than divided out to the state, county, and township level based on a formula of the Amish population in that area. And get this-they do not have any admin costs-100% of the money is distributed! Either do your homework or crawl back into your hole....Please!

OMG deer hunter you are an idiot. Geauga resident you are also an idiot. Are the Amish any different than us??? NO!!!!!!!!!! I knew about this so called fund....BTW a fund not a TAX. Do you honestly belive that there is 100% compliance? Not on you life.... My Amish neighboor does not pay into it. I asked him. He said he has a trailer for his mason crew and pays for the license plates. OK true...But I have several trailers and several cars I have to pay for all of them. Once again use logic, because the Amish are no different than us there are as many dishonest people who are going to laugh at a volunteer fund.

I just love the investigative skills of Geauga Resident...if he is as accurate about where the bullets are coming from as he is about that voluntary Amish fund then those bullets must really be coming from Mars

But getting back to the problem....should we contact the NRA to see if the range can be investigated? So far, I have not heard any shooting from there since the last incident occurred. I honestly don't think there was any problem until they opened the 500 yd range. At least no problems on our side of the range. If anyone else has heard of any, please post here. I'm so afraid someone gets hurt or worse.

Good luck to the Nauvoo rd. residents!Having delt with stray bullets from the Solon Sportsmen Association.Yes bullets were found. We have learned that state law rules and reg.of gun ranges are just suggested rules of operation.

Hey Joe I am sure we already pick up your trash. You just expect people to respect your opinion. You need to let people know when your joking. In the world we live in, it's not good to joke like that. But I guess when your a yuppie, You live in fog! Once again if you have a problem with Amish, your free to go! It's really funny how most Amish only have a 8th grade education, and are still smarter than yuppies. Who have more than likely gone to college. I don't like to affend people,I would much rather have friends. But you need to think, before you open your cake hole.

You can always tell when an idiot trys commentary, they never use logic and always use personal attacks. I never care about offending people I care about truth, fairness, and justice. That is the American way not your Amerikan way.

Joe,
I am amazed that you can spell words with more than 2 syllables. I assume someone is helping you out. I agree with Jack-hit the road if you have a problem with this area. Better yet, go over to Nauvoo Rd and buy some property. A few bullets whizzing around would likely get your attention.

Although the influences around now tend to give you endurance and stamina, you do have to watch that you're not straining your body too much, or trying to force yourself to do things that you don't want to do. Too much willpower can sometimes make you push yourself past your limits. You may be overspending to compensate, because you feel that you deserve a little reward for all your hard work. However, you'll have to pay the piper sooner or later!
