I sincerely hope that the wlpd police force is made to step down. This is a cover up and the cops father knew what he was doing by not giving his son the breathalyzer. Why would they even allow the father to come to the crime scene where his own son was involved?! Who is in charge here?? The chief of police let this happen? It sounds like we need a whole new police force to protect our town since I certainly don't feel safe here now!

I have had a few dealings with the police in town since I moved here 8 years ago and have not felt safe since day one. After a phone call with questions and being laughed at, two break-ins where they did nothing and now this?? I agree with you totally. They need to replace the whole department!!

First let me say that (if it's true as it is being reported as) then what this cop did was WRONG, no doubt about it. But the accusations you're making about cops "laughing at you" on the phone as you asked questions and 2 breaks and "nothing was done" then I'd need clarification as to what questions you were asking and what "nothing" means. By "nothing" do you mean that they didn't catch them? If so, then that's not "nothing" but merely that they haven't caught them. How do you know they aren't investigating them? Speculation I think.. And, as another just stated.....why stay?

And, as another just stated.....why stay? Why stay? Because I can't just up and sell my house in this market and uproot my kids from their schools. They laughed at me when I first moved here and inquired about whether or not they patrolled the street I lived on because of constant speeders. They did nothing on the two break ins because they never questioned the person who I thought was breaking in and all of my phone calls to the officer handling the case were ignored. A visit to the chief of police just gave me a "the officer is working on it and he will return your calls as soon as he has the time" NONE of my calls were returned. Not even a courtesy call!! Believe me, if it were that easy, I'd be long gone!!
