A lobster luncheon for greedy geezers! I hope that wasn't on the taxpayer's dime!

You have to be crazy!!!

Chelmsford has budget cuts, scholl schools closed, fire station with a floor caving in , and they are having lobster luncheons at the Chelmsford enior center, most of whom voted no on the school, DPW, and fire station Overrides. Disgusting!!!
You are welcome

What makes you think any Town funds were used for the dinner? I assume that's what you think. Otherwise, why would you care whether a bunch of old people get something nice to eat?
Looking at the Senior Center newsletter (which you can find online if you're not too lazy), it appears that the lobster was donated, and that funds came from their flea market a couple of months back, and from a door charge at the luncheon.
Are you one of those people who automatically assumes that when someone else gets something, that it's coming out of YOUR pocket? If so, I suggest you pull your head out and look around.

The seniors seem to take a lot of blame from people. When an override gets voted down, they automatically blame the seniors. Someone on another thread was actually whining that the seniors had a WII at the senior center. Believe it or not, most seniors have more common sense than they are given credit for, they have weathered much more than the younger folks and seem more resilient than most.
