The vernon select board didn't know when they had it good with Turnley as police chief good luck finding someone that'll do the job he did while putting up with you guys the whole time when someone is hired to run a dept. it's just that he runs it the select board doesn't. Seems Brattleboro old select boarg issues are stil alive and well in Vernon maybe it's time to clean house like they finaly did in Brattleboro. I'm sure if you discuss this with the people of Vernon you'll find out that you should keep Turnley on as police chief. I hope he wins his case against vernon in court. It would serve you right in the treatment you gave him.

Mr. Turnley, I wish you well. You were a great chief and the town selectmen are nuts. This is a case of retaliation because you filed suit for back wages. You did the right thing. Do not ever second guess your decision. Eventually, it will come around to them because anyone working for the town of Vernon is in the line of fire. I hope that you find a good job in a town that appreciates their employees. Keep your head up.
