yes they do have good food .... well breakfast anyways .. that is way I get. the western omlette is great!

How are the steaks? In my opinion, Bartons had the best steaks in town but now they are closed. Southwind's steak tastes good but the beef is not the best quality. Tell me about the steakhouse steaks....

I have been eating at the Steak House since 1953, thru many owners, and except for when Barbara ran it in the late '70s I never had a bad steak. Support hometown businesses, they need it with the smoking ban which took 35% of their customers.

I don't know where you got your information but I use to work at Southwind and they buy only fresh choice beef.

Of the 3, where would you prefer to take a dump at after eating a large meal?

this place i have eaten like 10 times over last year or so since i moved here i love there food its always good and hot and fresh

their food is usually always good but since steve died the prices have went way up for food and drinks in the bar, they are going to run themselves out of business if they dont cut them back down

Its not just the prices. Where in the world did Gail go? I have been going there every weekend for about a year now. Always have a crowd of people with me but after last weekend, I wouldnt go back if they reincarnated Elvis Presley and paid me to drink. What is up with the old battle ax? She needs to be at WWF.

What happened there last weekend? I had heard something about a fight or something.

Yeah you and everyone else there wanted to know. All I know is the band got mad at something and just left. As I was leaving trying to find out what happened like everyone else, battle ax sticks her nose in it. I dont know what or who she thinks she is but as I recall no one pulled her chain. I mean I asked a simple question and she goes off. I spend (did) alot of money there along with everyone that came out there with me. Never cause any problems, go out to eat have a few drinks and listen to the band. She goes and cops an attitude like that for no reason. I don't have time for ignorance. I will take my business and friends elsewhere.

gail quit and so did darrell, which one are u calling the battle ax , many there fit that description lol

which night was this fight? i was there saturday until about 11:30 or so and the band was still there and nobody was fighting? did u ever figure out who was fighting?

I was there also but I left before 11. I know the people in the band pretty well. I cant believe they would just up and leave. They are a pretty good band also. The best that has been out there recently. But if they got mad and left chances are they wont be back!

They are a very good band.We really like them. But almost 1230 all at once the band was gone. The Battle Ax is the old lady that now considers herself the bouncer now. Never seen her before until that Sat night. Don't plan on seeing her again. Its a shame because I really enjoyed going out there with my friends but I am too old for that crap. Places that I can go to without all the dama.

The band left because the blonde lady, Sherri?, got in the bass player's face complaining about breaks. The band had been promised one price by Gail and Sherri refused to honor the agreement. The band tried to hold up their end of the agreement, but once the lady started trouble, we left. End of discussion! We were already being screwed out of money, we weren't about to let the new manager talk bad to any member of the band.

We love playing for the customers there. We all have met some great people and hope to see you all around at other places we will be in the future. Places like the Boathouse, Bananas (when it reopens) The Backstage in Somerset as well as all around Richmond. Keep an eye on our myspace page and we hope to see you around! No hard feelings to those that were just out to hear some good music!

I truly hate that. I love coming out to listen to you guys. You are one of if not the best band that comes out there. Things have really changed since Gail left. But we will indeed come out and see you guys at other places for sure. But I will never step foot back in there (Steak House)again. I am going to look you up on my space and find out where and when you guys will be around. So sorry for their loss.
