It actually various on experience. Someone with no experience will start at 10.52 per hour. This is a Government Contract job and those who apply will be put through a very thorough background check and drug test.

Well I guess I'm a idiot because I didn't get hired. had interview at the job fair. I've never been in trouble with the law or never used drugs. They didn't even tell me why they didn't want to hire me.

I was was offered a position, given my shift the last step was bringing in my DL & ssn crd to complete my paperwork. However the day before I was suposed to do this my wallet got stolen, I filed a police report then I recieved a call from the MRO saying I tested positive for amphetamine's and the results would be sent to GD that afternoon. So I figured w/my results being pos & not able to replace my Id ect yet there was no point going in to complete the last step.I was suposed to start yest, but I still have not recieved the "official call from GD decliing the position". So I wasnt sure if the results were a mistake or if they didn't have the chance to contact me yet, so I emailed the HR rep about the situation to see if I have the job or not, but her reply stated thank you for explaining the situation, nothing else. When I did the test it wasnt enough to send to the lab so the lady put the cup in the cabinet and sent me to the lobby to drink more when I came back in the room she had enough between the two cups to send off. I'm not sure if something could have happened for my results to get mixed up. Part of me feels like I shouldn't waste anymore time pushing for the job because its a government contract & going to be very strict but people keep telling me to push back show them I want the job. Sorry so long but any opinions?

sorry about your luck and i went through the same way as you. my next door neighbors both told me that kentucky was a right to hire right to fire state and that no employer has to tell anyone why they were hired or fired. the kentucky labor board told me that my neighbors were not exactly correct with the terminology they had given me but the board did acknowledge that this state was a right to hire and fire state but there are times that a firing reason would be mandatory in cases that may involve the unemployment agency and some other situations too. the board did tell me that no reason ever had to be told why a person was hired.

I've heard from both inside and out that GD and Pearl are a joke.

Dont be fooled by the negative staments of it. It's a good job thus far. it's not a joke, not every one makes the same amount, as said earlier, but, not every one meets the starting cap either. My brother has no experience and didn't hit the cap as I did. The work is easier teh. You knight expect but much more challenging then you would expect as well. It involves law, and quite sctrictmitations both in customer service and self accountability. I recommend it to any one needing a "good" job. Coming from the inside, that's the facts.

It isn't as easy as it seems. If they have medicare contract then it is hard. Why do you think they give you three weeks training. I am surprised they make you take a drug test. They don't in corbin or lonfon.
