This is a thread created for anyone and everyone to be a critic if they wish to be so. Personally I enjoyed the book so much that I have actually read it twice in one week and then again yesterday. I suggest that everyone read this novel or have it read to them word for word by someone.

Have wondered why this hasnt been made into a movie for the non-readers, do you think to religious? A book I would suggest is Still Alice.

A multitude of emotions came upon myself throughout this brilliantly written novel. It is certainly enlightening to say the least. I believe the disturbance of the novel involving the murder of a innocent young child was captivating due to the fathers own hatred towards his own father. Forgiveness is extremely hard to allow yet it must be given. It does not subtract a persons anger from existence if one is forgiven. In my opinion it's like the Lord's word when the in the Bible we are told to love everyone but we are not commanded to have to like who we love. I can't wait until a movie is made concerning THE SHACK and I truly want to see just whom will play each character in the novel on the big screen.

Maybe to close to home, I am enjoying being a lady of a certain age (lol). But the fact that her memory went so quick was startling.

I will say no more at this point. Have a nice day.

The Holy Bible is my all time favorite book. It is a love story, it's full of actions of battles, entirely full of instructions concerning the right life to live, every word is ordained by God, there are actually a thousand reasons why it is my favorite book. I know it is the most popular book ever sold and I know it is my favorite book as well.

Miss E Font wrote: <quoted text> a close second is Pilgrims Progress It is to my understanding that three individuals actually had equal amounts of input concerning this book even though only one author is actually named as the writer. I am not arguing just stating a comment pertaining to the writing of Pilgrim's Progress. I always keep one actual truth in my mind whenever I do read spiritual novels and that is that every word in the Bible was actually ordained by God and that fact is not so in any other book. I am not saying that other spiritual books are not well written and very good reads to pursue. I am only saying that the Bible is The Book of all books.

It very difficult to recommend a good book to someone when their interests vary as do personalities but I located and read a book titled [The Rock] which was based on the the inmates of Alcatraz and found it to be a very enlightening novel concerning criminals of the 30's up to it's closing day which is now a museum. It contains the names of highly recognized criminals like John Delinger, Frank Morris, Al Capone which actually went stir crazy due to syphillis before he died and, there was the Birdman of Alcatraz whom never had a bird during his time at Alcatraz. It is an interesting book to say the least for anyone that may be interested in criminal behavior readings and the profiles of prisoners and the conditions of which that were made daily to accept or pay dearly for not doing so. It was written over 30 years ago and it is now in paperback only copies. Hardback issues are very rare to find concerning this particular book.

That's why I asked for suggestions of other reading material. Thanks for the suggestion of the The Rock, I love reading about historic events and people. Will try to find it.
