It's just so difficult to play to ALL citizens! What offends one group delights another, and in the quest to procure votes they'll play any role for a time. Lol, each group seems to jump on it and rally without even thinking what they do or say to the next demographic next week.

The GOP is really screwed if they're turning to him. Too bad Charlton Heston's dead.

Also, you know how every campaign has tried to use some popular song to pump up the people or as an emotional backdrop to the campaign? Here's one for the GOP: The Chair by George Strait.

Thankfully enough voters realized that the GOP will use anyone or anything including as in the Libya situation spinning national security matters to get votes.
I know if any entertainer with a record like Kid sex drugs n Rock n roll went so far out-front for the Democrats they would be "Dixie Chicked" on dump sights like "Fair and balanced" right in the middle of their predictable news cycle.
Why not stick to the only real matter that is tax vs spending and see what shakes out like senseable spending that actually improves life. No that will never happen. We will go over the phyicical cliff and the republicans leading the stampeed will have to open their off-shore golden parachutes. A CEO once called me a flat earth person because of my union membership. I had to point to the golden parachute on her back whether or not the company made money. Thankfully she also lost her bid on Nov 6th.

PS I would gladlly give a little of my ss check which I paid into since 12 years old working at the corner store and cafe if it would stop the professional hissy fits every year. You all are as predictable as Middle East flare ups. Cease fire? Why? It would also help if the better off helped a little more. Sure the rich say they will take the rest of their money off shore. Well if that is how you feel go with your money. Their are actual earners ready to take charge. Local banks and craftsmen ready to become contractors or widgett manufactures can and should take charge.
