Seems that ACS is the one perfect place to work that I have ever heard of.
Why doesn't everybody work there? |
ACS is a great place to work, but it does have it's up and downs just like any other call center. Why don't you guys get over the "call center crap" and move on to something new. A job is a job! Love it or hate it!

customer service for sprint/nextel. not a bad place to work. they also have metlife insurance
EDS does the same. On a hiring freeze right now I think until mid month, but if in Winchester, would save you gas money driving to Lexington.
Like glad said above, EDS has some issues as most places do, but really not a bad place to work. The work is not hard, sit on your rear all day and take customer service calls. But the customer service part can be a challenge sometimes if you are not built for it. Cant take things personal if somebody is upset. They just have a problem and want it fixed. Could be with a new phone or whatever....we have all been there at one time for sure. |

ACS pays better than EDS and they have better benefits. You can check out the jobs at www.acs-inc.com I havve worked at both places and I like ACS better than EDS. You have a better chance for advancement at ACS than you do at EDS.
Then why are you and "ex ACS" employee??? |
I had a twins and now I am a stay at home mom.

ACS is not a call center, it deals with insurance claims as well as visas and departures for non-us travelers. No phones are used. Only data entry, scanning and sorting of documents
ACS also takes calls for iPhone support in the new Yorkshire Blvd. building. It's over by Ashland headquarters and St. Joseph East. They have training classes going on now and start at $9.00 per hour. |
There are no spots open right now. |

Yes they are hiring. My friend and I just got jobs in the I-phone department. I start my training on the 12th and he starts on the 19th. It's a 4 week training period from 3:30pm-12am and you get paid $9/hr for that. Then they give you a raise after your training is complete for a week then they will drop it back down to $9/hr in till you do a good job and then you will get another raise.
IF you go to apply, it's an 2-3 hour applying period. So you must have time. You will fill out a paper then go to the computers and do a 4 or 5 part test then if you do well you will get to be interviewed. This usually takes about 10-15 minutes then you go and fill out paperwork. Make sure you bring a picture I.D. and your social card or birth certificate. Good Luck! |

i put in an application their and havent got called back yet. so im still hoping they will call me back. i need a job right now.

Thank you for the informative post. Where did you apply? |
Be thankful you have a job regardless. There are alot of people looking who would be grateful |
At the Yorkshire location. If your putting your app online it's a bad start; believe me. That's how I started, I'll advise you to go and do an interview in person.(=
Good Luck! |

Can you give us an update? How do you like working there so far?

Acs is not just a call center or not just data entry. ACS does work for alot of different companies. I Work from home & do data entry for Merck Medco thru ACS. Before that I worked on Leestown rd then Yorkshire blvd. Most ppl who work at home come from the office; New hires pretty much have don't work from home.
It is easy to advance at ACS. The one thing I would have to say w ACS is u have to be flexible. U might be working on a project & it get sent to Guatamala the next week, but there is so much work they will just teach u something else to do. Some pol don't like that & will B&C, I was always happy I still had a good paying job. Most start out @$9-12/hr & alot offer bonusesfor those who work harder. just remember ACS stands for Always Changing Shit & if u r flexible u will do fine there. |
