I called my client "Plaintiff" to find out why he rejected the offer and his response was "What offer?".
Repeated requests for a copy of offer sent to Plaintiffs Counsel and a copy of their rejection to offer fell on deaf ears. All the while, my attorney demanded I pay him or he would withdraw from the case. I cut a check for approx. another $1400. in faith he would send the requested docs. I never rec'd the docs or case info. and the bills continued. That's extortion- Keep paying us or we withdraw from your case & you will have to find another atty. on a 2yr case that of course, is always "almost over". I refused to pay unless the firm gave me the docs supporting work they supposedly did on my behalf that I already paid for, credit my acct. for conferences either not on record as taking place or which opposing counsel was not present for. All requests went ignored. He withdrew from the case charged me thousands and had me scrambling to find another atty. Filed a complaint with the Bar in which his rebuttal was approx 6pages of rambling complete with multiple lies. I had doc supporting the fact that he was lying. The Bar cited with the atty.
The atty. sued me for balance owed. I sent all evidence to the court in written defense the atty was in breach of contract, bc it was not submitted by an atty. it was stricken from court. It would cost me more to defend myself than to fight it as atty's wanted me to entrust them with another "engagement letter" license to steal again. I did not have addt'l 10K and trust another atty. to defend me. The Atty won approx 7K judgment but approx 15K was taken from my operating acct. It seems the banks are allowed to double the amount. My company immed. ceased operations as my operating acct. now had a neg. bal. & bills were bouncing. The firm's judgment incl. for atty. fees not on the engagement letter. That is "Fraud on the Court". I had to pay another atty. to finalize the court judgment but he refused to file a "fraud on the court" motion as he stated he does not sue other attys. I submitted evidence to the court but of course they refuse to enter it bc it is inadmissible as it was not submitted by an atty.
Yellowpages.com has a feature customers to rate a business. I gave the law firm one star "not recommended" with a note something to the fact that should contact me first,I had some emails they should read. Yellowpages within days, removed the star rating system from this firms listing and "greyed out" the "review" feature. So much for protecting others from this firm.
Oh, yea, that piece of equipment not fitting the clients configurations. The atty. mentioned the make of the unit but not the model in his FL. BAR. response I researched every model to that equipment make and none were for wall applicable therefore, there wasn't anything for the equp. to "fit" into.
