Ridgefield's Weir Farm is on the money

Actually, I find Weir Farm kind of boring. It's not particularly good looking. That small formal garden in the middle of the old rock walls is weird and out of place. It would be like having a french chandelier in an old rustic cabin.

I'm not sure if this is the one place that should represent all of Ct. In my opinion....

I never saw the place so I can't agree or disagree with you, but it's cool to have a local place on a coin

I have to agree that wier farm is really dull.

Agreed, it is cool to have a local place on a coin. But in a sense, everything in Ct is local.

The fact you have never been to Weir hints at how non-interesting it is.

When it comes to Ct beauty and/or an icon for a coin, I'd suggest:

* Mystic Seaport
* Kent Falls
* A covered bridge
* A stone wall

In fact, that's the one I'd choose, a stone wall leading down a country lane. That is Ct to me.

Sitting an a wall, stoned... That's CT to me.

Weir is not representative of Connecticut. They should use a beautiful artistic rendering of rush hour traffic on I95 somewhere around exit 12. Everyone will quickly recognize that scene.
