Yes, i am an ex-Bulldog, and I definitly remember Mr. Grisham's Algebra. I never could do algebra but he passed me anyway because I tried very hard. Do you remember Mr. Fielder(I think that was his name). He taught math. I also remember a math teacher Mr. Thetford (I think that was his name). Life was so simple back then even though I could not do algebra.

I, too, am a former Bulldog. I remember all of those teachers, plus Mr Propes who flunked me in Algebra II. I had to take Geometry to graduate. I has Mrs. Cash for that, and I'm sure I would never have passed if she hadn't felt sorry for me. I am not too sure who the good football players were. The year I was in 9th grade, the Bullpups were undefeated, but the same team as seniors did fare as well. I think they only won two games. I remember Freddie Parnell and Paul Hunt, but as for others, I am blank

He had to grade the whole class on a curve just so he didn't have to fail everyone! Joe Goble and Billy Denton Taught us what little was taught! LOL

Please wait...
I'll bet we were in the same class because he was only there one year. I think. He did have to grade on the curve because the highest grade was 16% or something. I must have had a 0.

It makes you wonder how many kids have had "teachers"{?} like that even now in these times, and like us just didn't say anything because what grownup is gonna here that the teacher isn't teaching without automatically siding with the teacher? And yes we were probably in the same class and it was a small one at that. My last name was Stone at the time and my Dad eas a bus driver and mechanic there at the school. He passed away in 1977 and is missed greatly by all our family.

I think you'll know, since I was the only one. I lost my dad in 1985 and I know how you feel about that. Its not the same for sure. About the teachers, I know there are some good ones, but when I was in college, a teaching degree was the easiest to get, so there were people going into teaching that didn't have a clue and had no interest in teaching or the in the children. IE, Mr. Propes. I saw in the paper a few years ago that a Tom Propes, a banker from Heber Springs had been indicted on fraud or something close. I wondered if it might be the same person. Are you living around the Wilson area?

I don't know about Propes, he was only here for one year and I guess that's good! It's a good thing I haven't needed much Algebra.lol I guess you already know about Coach Moon dying some years back, he's another one with lots of stories about not so good things back then, another one of those "can't tell the parents cause they'd never believe it" things. Some of our classmates are still around here ,some moved off. I was married to Steve for six years, Then Ed Perry for 19 years and he died in 1993 {heart attack} now I'm married to a very nice guy from Newport Ar. fo the past 11 years. Time flies!!! lol

I don't remember Mr. Propes, but like I said I could not do algebra 1 so I had to take general math the next year. Would this be S. Stone. plsmls wrote: <quoted text>Yes, Nancy I do remember you too. Give us your first name or better your initials, and tell us some of your memories of school and Wilson back then. I didn't make the last big reunion Wison had, but hope to catch up on the next one, whenever that might be.

Hi Sandra S. & Nancy C.. I am Alice A.(maiden). Good to hear from ya'll. I worked for AG for 34 years but now am retired. I have had a few health problems in the last few years, but doing good.
One memory is how Freddie Parnell was such a sweetheart. I played softball with AG for 11 years and Freddie was our 1st base coach. Actually, Freddie was our coach when we lost him. That was a real heartbreaker. Anyone know what happened to all our classmates like Peggy M, Judy B, Jackie T., Cathy B.(to name just a few). Would be interested in knowing about any of then.

Yes I did know that you were married to Ed, and I remember when he passed away.(Very Sorry - but I'm glad you have moved on with your live) My brother Jim, lives in Wilson so I occasionally hear from Wilson, I just never hear from many classmates. Do you ever hear from Glenda M. I live in Armorel. My husband and I farm. I'm the record keeper, he's the farmer. I still have several family members that live in Wilson. Lester B. still lives there, but I hardly ever see him unless there is a death in the family. Do you ever hear from Sylvestia & Judy? Do you know what happened to Peggy M? Are you working? Well I'll give you the floor for a while. lol

Do ya'll remeber L.D. Atchley. He did not graduate with us, but was in our class for quite a few years. Well, anyway (he was my cousin), he passed away in Jauary of last year. He had a liver transplant and it worked for a while, and was on the list for another liver transplant when he died. He lived in or around Frostproof, FL.

No, I don't know anything about Peggy, I live next door to Glenda's aunt and she tells me about her. I see Lester quite a bit because he "goes with" my cousin Nona, but I hardly ever see Jimmy anywhere around. I am on disability, I have heart problems and neuropathy in my feet all caused from diaberes. My last job I worked at Seigal=Roberts till it closed. I don't hear from Sylvestia much anymore, but the last time a year or so ago, she told me her son had graduated college and was a youth minister now. I remember L.D.,sorry to hear of his passing. Do you ever hear anything about John {Buddy} Atchley. He was a heart throb back in the day, he had several of us girls "swooning" over him, all at the same time!! HaHa.

No I haven't heard from John since his dad passed away in the late 70's or early 80's. At that time, he had married a woman with several children and was working for the railroad in St. Louis. His sister Pat lives in West Memphis, but I never hear from her.

Sandra, do you remember Mr. Smith, I think he was our science teacher in jr. high. I think he was originally from Boston. The things I remember most about him was his Bostonian accent and his Bostonian handwriting. I thought he had the prettiest handwriting. He could have signed the Declaration of Independence (lol). Do you remember Ms. Emery? She was a nice and very neat person. Oh!! the memories after almost 40 years. I have forgotten, what was the principal's name before Mr. Moon?
