funny thing you being in cuba, most americans can't go there,as we still have an embargo against it,i hope you're not a commie.another funny thing about cuba, is that we forbid trade with it because it's supposed to be a threat to us.at the same time we trade and borrow money from china, knowing that thousands of americans were killed, wounded, tortured and brainwashed by chinese soldiers during the korean and viet nam wars.kinda makes you wonder about a country whose political system is set up so a key swing state(florida)can have a determined minority wield power out of all proportion to their actual numbers.its called tyranny by the minority.and these few people will never vote for anyone who lifts embargo.

Who is Dolores Huerta?

She is an honorary chair of the Democratic Socialists of America and after praising dictator Chavez in 2006 for his policies in Venezuela, she asked,“why can’t we do that here in the United States?”

She just received the Medal Of Freedom from president obama, she also injected into his 2008 campaign the cuban communist phrase "Yes we Can".

Oh, God...I remember Teddy(fat-boy)Kennedy doing a rally for 'Bama in 2008 and he was yapping it over and over in very poor spanish "Si Se Puente"! or whatever. We can only hope to be able to say for Barry's 2nd term what we say for Teddy now....R.I.P.!

to bush did it,please tell us where he got the money for two wars and medicare expansion?never mind i will tell you,he borrowed it from china.your complete refusal to acknowledge that he borrowed billions from china, shows your ignorance.you refuse to acknowledge the fact that he created the biggest budget deficit in history, are you aware that on the day he took office, obama inheirited an 8.5 trillion dollar natl. debt. that bush created.you simply refuse to admit bush left the country in a mess.ignore it all you want, bush will be judged a failure by historians.as for the go to china remark, there's a neat little document written over 200 yrs, ago, that says americans have the right to freedom of speech, whether other people like it or not.dissent does not equal treason.reagan, bushes 1 and 2 all left the country in worse financial shape then they found it,and that womanizer clinton left us with a surplus.so spare us the myth of republicans being better stewards of the economy.if i'm wrong about bush2 borrowing tons of money from china or the amt. of the deficit when he left office,i will gladly review the sources you cite refuting it.

Actually the low end estimates are in the 100K range... and the 1,000,000 number I believe was total casualties i.e. soldiers, insurgents, civilians.
I'm not trying to downplay the numbers - just trying to set what I believe is the record straight... and speaking of for the record - I was against that war and even if it was "only" 100,000 instead of 300,000 civilians killed... I still find that number horrendous.
Sure, let's set the record straight by highlighting the fact that the military casualties for the US and UK HAVE MORE THAN DOUBLED each year since Obama took office.

Some valid reasons why:
1. Obama capitulated, and even worse, gave the enemy our exit strategy.
2. Obama decided it was plausible to "negotiate" with the Taliban.
3. Obama refused to give his top general at the time, McChrystal, the 10,000 additional troops that were requested to finish the job.
4. Worst of all, Obama changed the rules of engagement, mandating that our troops be fired upon first before returning fire, and then only if it's ascertained that there is no possibility of civilian casualties ( ie. political conformity came first).

Worst president in history, and a disgrace, a DANGEROUS DISGRACE for a Commander in Chief.

Would you mind providing links to that information... somewhere reputable please...

The reason I ask that is I'm looking at a number of sites and for Iraq I see 314 casualties for US troops in 2008... which means you claim would make it 600 new casualties in 2009, 1200 in 2010 and 2400 in 2011... but I am seeing 54 casualties ( up or down by a half dozen depending on source ) for 2011... which is quite different from your claims...

You do a bit better with Afghanistan... 155 in 2008... so by your claim it would be around 300 for 2009... 600 for 2010... 1200 for 2011... where I am seeing 418 instead...

Thanks in advance!

oh i see bush and cheney didn't fire their general becasuse he disagreed with them about the amt. of troops needed for the iraq war.and then thousands of soldiers didn't die because bush and cheney went to war without troops.check your records you will see bush also tried talks with the taliban through pakistani intermediaries.also there were 2 wars started under bush,so when a person says he didn't support the war make sure you know what war is being talked about.i supported the afghan war,but i did not support the war in iraq,we were rushed into it and lied to about the reasons for going in.now as for obama being a dangerous disgrace, this is quite a mouthful coming from someone who thinks bush did a great job.by the way the roberts court has ruled that corporations are people and not just businesses.now onto bush did it, your YO BOY OBAMMY comment told me the real reason u don't like obama.one quick question, what sort of magical health insurance to you have, that you can be so anti health care reform.

Iraq is down because that war was essentially ended by Bush... Obama merely presided over the transfer of power, and in point of fact, has mucked that up pretty badly.

bush mucked up iraq from day 1,by not sending in enough troops, and starting a war we had no business being in.and if he would have kept the pressure up in afghanistan instead of diverting troops to iraq we would have won there.the enemy was on the ropes and the iraq war gave them a respite to regroup and replan their strategy.

You are so full of sh!t.... AS I ALREADY INDICATED... you are showing numbers declining in Iraq AFTER THE FRIGGIN WAR WAS ENDED BY BUSH'S SURGE UNDER PETRAEUS.

How do you guys think you can get away with the smoke and mirrors all the time? Do you really think people are THAT gullible?

You've been spanked... now go away.

I don't get it...

You said that military casualties had doubled every year since Obama became President... I posted the numbers for both Iraq and Afgahnistan and neither one came close to your claims.. and the link you provided were - again - inline with the numbers I posted for each year...

So if you have other numbers that you believe prove your point, then please post them... but what I've supplied and what you linked do not.

Also...

I'm just trying to have a discussion and figure out where / how you came to your conclusions... so please take a deep breath and relax.

michael,it doesn't work like that.the moment you don't totally agree, you are automatically an a-hole,traitor,fool or any number of foul names.they don't get that people can see things in a different light and still be good people and citizens.take bush i think he was a terrible president and made a lot of boneheaded decisions, but i don't think he is a traitor or turncoat, they disagree with obama and he is automatically a traitor out to destroy america and everything he does becomes suspect.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Virgo

You have a very high opinion of a certain person today, believing that they can do no wrong. But how realistic are you being? It looks as though you're viewing the world through rose-colored glasses, which is fine if it's only a temporary state but quite another matter if you're deliberately ignoring problems and pretending that they don't exist.
