It's obviously a house cat. Look at how it moves. It doesn't move right to be a cougar not to mention it is too small. I understand it may seem larger than other house cats but tom cats can get pretty large. No need to worry...unless you're an unsuspecting bird.

"Put where people can see it, and where we won't have to worry about it as a concern for neighbors"?!?-Are you concerned the big bad putty-tat is going to eat all of your cat food? I can picture it now.. Morris the fat house cat, caged on display in the middle of town so everyone feels safe at night. I think Charles and Jim need a hobby.-But thanks for the laugh.

A cougar would not allow you to get "too close for comfort". By the looks of it a small human is easily 5 times its weight and size, the cougar would be quite scared of a person. Whereis a domesticated cat will typically be ok with humans around. Forget setting traps, some catnip and a ball of yarn will be all you need.

It appears to be the color of an orange tabby. It has rings around it's tail. I've never seen pictures of a cougar with that color or markings. I guess I'd have to say it's a cat. As for size it's hard to tell how big it is without having something to compare with in the pictures. I do believe we have cougars in PA, just this one is not.

That's clearly a domestic cat. There should be no questions about it...

I have 2 cats and I agree this is a domestic cat and like others have said probably an orange/yellow tabby. It maybe a male given the size of it.

When cats get all of their shots and are well taken care of, they get HUGE. That's a tabby roaming those fields.

Someone needs to go back to science class. It is quite obviously a house cat. It never ceases to amaze me how people ... well, let me give you an example. I had a pet turtle, it was maybe 2-3 inches in diameter. A friend of mine picked it up one day and it bite him. He swears it was a Snapping turtle. Why? Because it bit him. But he couldn't have been more wrong. I even showed him pictures of snapping turtles and pictures of my turtle, and he says my turtle looks exactly like the snapping turtle. My turtle was a Painted Turtle. The two look nothing alike. People will see things the way they want to see them, regardless of what they are actually seeing.

This is not a cougar. I lived in California for 25 years and regularly saw cougars there. The cat in this picture does not look like a cougar -- the gait is wrong, the tail is wrong, the color is wrong, the ears are wrong.

This is a cat..if they really wanted to be all 'scientific' with things, they can measure the height of the grass behind the cat, and put it into size ratio proportion to tell.

Can I take a picture of my black cat outside and says it's a panther? ha!

This is not a cougar this is just a house cat. A tell tale sign is the cats tail. It has the stripings like a house cat. Cougars do not have the stipes on there tail

It's a cougar hybrid! Part cougar, part house cat, part Jersey devil.

Wait look over there! It's Bigfoot having lunch with the Chupacabra! I'm outta here.

its so obvious its a cat! this is such a waste of time! and really, how big really was it?? of course we cant tell by a video but if it was the size of a cat then that right there tells you your answer!

also, if someone is going to video tape it he should at least try and keep the camera still so we can see what the hell were looking at!
