Dear Sir, or Mam:

Ref: Delaware State Police tric-tics web page ( http://dsp.delaware.gov/pio/Whitmarsh/Tric%20... )

The Tric Tics page needs to be removed immediately. What If Debra Desimone is your daughter and you found her name, picture and age shown on the Tric-Tics page? This is an attempt to shame people into compliance, but at what cost?

Information disseminated using the world wide web is in fact providing this information to anyone in the world. The Tric Tics page is already referenced on delawareonline, nbc 10, mywowbb and several other sites.

This sentencing practice is not fair punishment. For example; Mr. Walls may lose his job, Ms. Swieder may be getting free advertising and Ms. Desimone may be stalked.

Prospective “johns” can now get information from the Tric Tics page to identify who to solicit.

Officials disseminating this material can be held accountable for liable, or found culpable if one of these people are harmed.

Disseminating this information on the world wide web is unprofessional, beyond the scope of our police force, exceeds fair sentencing and may result in grave harm - this is excessive force. This is a misdemeanor for those convicted. Police are commissioned to enforce laws. Judges determine reasonable sentence measures available to them under the law.

Very Truely Yours,
Concerned Delaware Citizen

I wonder if you considered that by posting the link, you just made that information available to a lot of people who never would have known what it was without your post...

What ever happened to "innocent until proven guilty"?
Oh thats right, Cops don't make mistakes so it's all right.
BTW. I wonder what would happen if one of thier own cops was caught with a prostitute. Would his picture show up there?

I think its about time that people took responsibility for their own actions.
This page is great. What if It WAS your daughter....wouldn't you want to know? How would you get her help if you didn't know? Most Prostitutes resort to this line of work to feed a drug habit. My best friend was killed by Steven Pennell in the 80's doing the same thing. Looking back on it, it probably would have been best if her parents knew and got her help, at least she would be alive.

This page would be great IF the people whose picture is on it were actually convicted of something. As it stands now these innocent people are being victmized by the police department.
And everyone thinks it's ok? Unbelievable.

I guess it would be OK if these people stood around your yard and walked in front of your house and conducted business in front of your children. The fact is people have the right to know who is in their community. I guess some people just wouldn't mind explaining to their children that its OK for those people to purchase sex in front of their house and dispose of the condoms in their yard.
These people were arrested after undercover police officers were either solicited or witness illegal activity. Be real, the only people who would oppose this page are people who obviously had a broken the law before , their parents, or people with paranoid delusions of a out of control police force that just rounds up innocent people and arrests them without cause.
If you shut this page down, are you gonna close down all news papers and TV shows who show people being arrested too? They are not convicted yet. Thats why we have a court system. Whats next.... Bleeding hearts with protest these people from being arrested because its the governments fault or instead of prosecution they all get tickets to Dr. Phil

Would it really be such a problem if they showed these peoples faces AFTER they were convicted?
Newspapers and tv shows are doing what they are supposed to be doing. Reporting news and entertaining. This is a POLICE website and Their ONLY job is to make arrests. If they choose to show pictures of the criminals who have been convicted in a court of law, No problem. They should be proud and show the difference that they made. In fact I would love to see a website dedicated to showing pics of convicts of all kinds.
Just wait until they are convicted.

I guess the only problem you have is that the police posted the pictures on the website and not the news media. Could it be you are afraid of seeing yourself there someday?

In this country people are innocent until proven guilty.
Are you with me so far?
OK
ANYONE that the police post on that website, That has NOT been convicted of a crime is INNOCENT!
Do you understand?
If your family, friends, co-workrs see you on there, Even if you did nothing wrong, What will they think of you?
Oh K-fed up is such a loser he needs a hooker for sex. Or if you are female you MUST be a prostitute if your pic is up there.

Understand?

LOL..... Thanks for the link. I keep looking for busts in that lil small park across from Johnny's Market on Maryland ave. in Brown Town. I havent seen the three ho's who work that area's pics up. But New Castle is poppin! Dayum. From Boxwood rd to Brown Town on Maryland ave on any given night, I have been solicited 8 times the last year. Go figure. The 7-11 across from Five Points at 3 am thursday night, two hispanic males so drunk in a Pa. Tagged older Ford Broncho took four min just to put ketchup on thier hot dog with big "Im gonna run over and kill someone and I have no insurance and get away with it" look on thier faces.
My point is, there are ho's all over if Maryland ave is any indication of criminal activity. Oh, and i looked and looked but but couldnt find a police cruiser for fifteen min to alert them of the two drunks ( didnt have my cell phone).

Get "thier" pics ( college ho's ) to. No sooner then I posted previous comments then right before my eyes on Maryland ave at RT 100 Dunkin Donuts tow illegal aliens drunk out of their minds crash in a Drk Blue Ford Broncho taking out the traffic box and totaling thier pa. tagged car at 7:15 pm/
Shook up, they wondered as I called it in, about in a daze throwing a case of empty beer cans in the dumpster next to the pole that finally stopped them. Then they ran on foot.....but State Police caught up with them before they could make the elsmere bridge arresting the driver, taking one to hospital (child boy about 9).
While prostitutes are indicative of other crimes, drugs and such, Delaware police officers should focus on Pa. Tagged illegals with no insurance on our roads drunk and without a care. Someone is gonna get killed. I almost did.

Let me explain it to your PRISON MENTALITY.
The newspapers publish events that happened and people who
are arrested are depicted on every page. They are not guilty or innocent
at this point because they have not been judged in the court system.
So the people on these pages have not been judged guilty or innocent, they have only been reported as being arrested for that offense, just like the news papers and television. Get it....What would your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers think if they saw you on the six o'clock news
being arrested for alleged drug trafficking? Don't do the crime if you can't do the time. The best way to stay out of trouble is not to be there.

Ok, Good, So yoiu agree with me. The news papers and telivision shows ARE doing their job. Reporting news. It IS news when someone gets arrested right?
So explain to me how it's the job of the POLICE to report the news.

You'll never get it, so go back to cell block B with the rest of your police hating friends. Try to free Mumia and I'll keep checking out the tric-tic page for your picture when you get paroled.

Hi, I guess your not from the area. Its a well known fact that if you get caught doing these crimes that your picture will be displayed. It was run on every local and regional news station on television and also the local paper has run this article many times. People just think that it won't happen to them or they are too smart to get caught. The police have tried every other option in the area to curb the prostitution and drug offenders from plaguing the neighborhoods here so they finally resorted to posting the picts on the "tric-tic" page and Wilmington has the "Drug-Mugs" where they show people arrested for buying, selling, or possessing drugs.
